Perfect handeling, the 170 bhp is a must for those lovers of speed, economical factor its good full tank of petrol on £60 average mileage 550 on city driving, am saving on average £40 per month.. First service 18,000 in my case it would be two years, another saving of £300 per year. Road tax £135 per year another £50 saving Annual Car insurance in the bracket of £500 per year on a full no claims proctetion . Free AA breakdown included with the purchase of the car another good point. Service provided by the dealer ship it is excellent even after care it's excellent. A4 boot space has increased but still remains small but not really a problem in my case. Its is extremely quiet for a diesel once you have the initial start up not noticeable, I was surprised as I have never had a diesel in the past, I recomend it. I had the 2007 automatic one. space is good. I hate the design of the dashboard. the car looks great, but I like a car that when I say go it should go. When I stop at a traffic light and then to go. The car slows instead of going faster. That is what I hate about it. The other thing the CD changer is in the pocket. How can you operate it while driving? I sold mine and bought a Lexus. I wish I could sit with these people to design a proper interior ... ...gadgets. there is space on the dash board for the cd changer. Sat nav is rubbish. The seat adjustment is rubbish for 2007 car. They should be far more advanced. It was hard for me to find a comfortable position. I like to be comfortable when driving. Space is good, so i would recommend this cars for someone who doesn't do alot of driving. ...

tech business I work in, where the car you drive so often reflects a lot about your work approach and lifestyle.
I was lucky enough to test-drive a shortlist of 4 cars all circa the £21-24k price tag before choosing. I tested a Saab 9-3 2.0TD Vector Sport, BMW 1-Series 120d SE, AudiA3 2.0TDI SE.
Overall I loved the AudiA4 Avant and still do, but considering the high cost, image and market expectations of a car like this I feel no shame in being brutal in some aspects of the review.
Looks and street cred - First Impressions

The first thing that captured my attention was the new look front-end to the A4. The deceptively long bonnet with an over-sized front-grill slapped in the middle of cleaner and smoother front bumper than any Audi has seen so far is truly eye catching ...
Advantages: Good value, lots of extras, looks classy inside Disadvantages: Few niggling problems, uses oil.
I have had my 2004 for just over a year now, it had done 9000 miles when i bought it, now just coming up to 48,000.
In that time it has been good with fuel economy around 48mpg even with the climate on all the time. Build quality is very good, i owned golf mk4's before and the audi definately has the edge, this new a3 has much improved handling and the 2.0tdi is very torquey but quiet. Only downside is it does use oil, dont be fooled by dealers, the oil is not cheap either at £12 a litre. Aside from that i have had a new clutch under warranty and minor bits and pieces but it is a great car and i would recommend to anyone. Get the SE over the sport as value for money it beats it every time, the auto lights and rear dimming mirror are a must. ...
