...I have owned one of these cars for over a year now and every day it has been a pleasure to own. It may not be the most attractive car; but at the same time it is not unattractive to look at. It may also not have the greatest handling or ride qualities but these are not what the car is about. The whole purpose of being for this car is to transport large amounts of people and things, comfortably, safely, and reliably and it is in these areas where this car excels.
It is quite apparent from the outside that this is a big car, however, it is when you get in side that you really start to appreciate just how roomy it is. I am 6'5'' and I could quite comfortably sit behind myself with amble leg and headroom front and back. The boot is simply massive with a reasonably low lip.

Advantages: Roomy, quiet, comfortable, quite economical. Disadvantages: Not the prettiest!
...I have run an A6 1.8T SE since 1999 and the car has been virtually flawless. It is a very comfortable and roomy car with surprising levels of performance and economy. The cabin is still unsurpassed for quality and simplicity of operation.
The SE spec is excellent with dual zone climate control, a first rate radio cassette (ours has a CD changer too but no LW for the cricket), plus a very accurate fuel computer.
In all the time I have had the car we have averaged 35mpg and the only spending apart from servicing has been on tyres and a battery.
The car still looks good, the paint finish is better than some new cars and the pearlescent finishes suit the car.
Problems? Well check the pollen filter does not get blocked, it is a 2 minute job but a blocked one (mine was covered in leaves) can result in water in the passenger...

...a bit more enjoyable. The cabin seats 5 people very easily and the boot space is massive and can easily fit all my girlfriends wardrobe in it for those weekend breaks !!!! I am getting 47mpg as an average fuel fuel consumption which is very good, servicing is reasonable as long as you dont take it to a Audi garage, and due to the reliability of Audi I am hoping nothing serious will go wrong too soon, but if it does I have the 1 year warranty to fall back on.
