Advantages: Huge amount of space, bomb-proof build quality Disadvantages: High service costs at main dealer
I have owned one of these cars for over a year now and every day it has been a pleasure to own. It may not be the most attractive car; but at the same time it is not unattractive to look at. It may also not have the greatest handling or ride qualities but these are not what the car is about. The whole purpose of being for this car is to transport large amounts of people and things, comfortably, safely, and reliably and it is in these areas where this car excels.
It is quite apparent from the outside that this is a big car, however, it is when you get in side that you really start to appreciate just how roomy it is. I am 6'5'' and I could quite comfortably sit behind myself with amble leg and headroom front and back. The boot is simply massive with a reasonably low lip.
The seats are wide and armchair like; adjustment is ...

THE GARAGE?
At 4703mm long and 1826mm wide, unless you have a particularly small one, yes it should indeed fit inside your garage.
WHICH SPECIFIC MODEL?
At £27,830 (aren?t these modern day ?Cortinas? getting pricy?) and packing 211bhp, the AudiA4 2.0TFSi S Line, that I am reviewing here, is towards the top of a bewilderingly comprehensive range of models. It is the most powerful and expensive four cylinder front wheel drive A4 saloon.
The A4 range starts at £20,485 for the 118bhp 1.8TFSi and tops out at a whopping £33,700 for the 237bhp 3.0 TDi Quattro (four wheel drive) Executive S Line. With each engine configuration Audi offer a quattro (four wheel drive) variant ? indeed I will be offering an argument for not offering certain models, the 2.0TFSi included, with only front wheel drive.
IN WHAT CAPACITY AM I REVIEWING THIS CAR?
This is ...

The Car itself.
****************
We have had this superb car for just over a year and done 26,000 enjoyable and trouble free miles with only one service. The car even tells you itself when it needs servicing.
We had an Audi a few years ago and, although it was a good reliable car, we thought it was a bit overpriced and not really worth the "Vorsprung Durch Technic". This one replaced our well-loved Volvo S80 and it has more than filled the gap.
So what are the plus points?
******************************
It's fast, quiet for a diesel, responsive, comfortable, economical, reliable and safe. Maybe not one of the greatest lookers in the word but it can hold its own very well amongst larger saloon cars and can certainly give ...
