I know the original style TT was an iconic shape and a great car but the new shape TT is a thing of absolute beauty! The new sleeker lines and rounded rear gives it a real sporty look but also a feeling of substance that many cars in this category don't have.
Not only is it fabulous to look at it is also great to drive and surprisingly practical with the rear seats and boot size really making a big difference. Whilst I wouldn't recommend it as a family car I have made a short journey with four adults in it.
If you're sensible fuel economy can be well into the 30 MPG range. If you're in the mood for fun this can drop quite spectacularly - but it is worth it! The acceleration and handling makes this a great car to drive with the grip particularly impressive on high speed corners.
Whilst the Audi servicing does generally cost a small fortune the TT seems to be relatively low maintenance. The intelligent servicing indicator on the dashboard is still indicating that it is running quite happy meaning that at over 17,000 miles and 18 months it still hasn't needed a service. You will however need to keep an eye of the oil level with hard driving requiring a top up every couple of thousand miles.
I had to wait over 6 months for mine to be shipped but it was worth it! During this time I tested more expensive BMWs but felt they didn't close. Not only do I feel that they don't have the same impressive looks as the TT but they also feel quite cramped inside.
If you're looking for a reasonably priced car that is as comfortable on the school run as it is impressive on the road then look no further!
