Advantages: sound quality very good for price
Disadvantages: let down by low quality internals

Fully featured, sounds good due to good speaker, my only quibbles are the quality of the internal parts, eg the low hum when you listen to cd's quietly, wont affect you if you listen loud but is a tell tale sign of low quality electronics. sound quality from mp3's could be better as they sound great coming from my pc through the aux input of this stereo but are of variable quality through the internal codec via USB. I have owned this product for about 2 years and so far nothing has really gone wrong with it, that said I rarely use it above half volume. The sound quality is very good for the price and it fills the room very easily. The remote control that came with was not very sturdy and it broke after about a year of use. One thing I wish this product had was some kind of direct way to connect and mp3 player to it. I have experimented with tape adaptors and radio transmitters but I found that they reduce the quality of the sound too much. ...just an auxiliary function. The iSymphony comes with a number of dock attachments which allows you to dock in a great number of different generation iPods. Though it took me a while to work out which one I needed for mine, but when I did I learned that I didn't need to do any more to the system to set up my iPod. ...only thing I think the iSymphony could benefit from is having DAB digital radio stations. As this stereo system was coming out just after DAB was introduced, I am very surprised it wasn't included. I cannot remember exactly how much I paid for the system, but I think it was around the £150 mark. Disadvantages: Lack of DAB

Absolutely outstanding CD player & radio for the price. Paid £130.00 for mine from Amazon (UK). It is smaller than it looks in the pictures but is nice and weighty. Sound is excellent, although the bass has to be turned down and the treble increased from the default setting in order to achieve a good crisp sound. It geniunely feels as though there are speakers throughout the room, especially in 'wide' sound mode. Would need to spend £300+ on a hi-fi ...

...The stereo when switched on has a very nice funky blue screen that lights up when switched on. It is extremely easy to operate and the instruction booklet was also very simple to understand.
