Aiwa NSX-V70 Stereo System.
Advantages: Good tone quality, good tape recording quality Disadvantages: Needs longer leads on speakers - needs frequent CD lens cleaning
...that's when we bought our Aiwa NSX-V70 from Comets and, although I am aware that others seem to have given this stereo system bad reviews, we have found ours to be really excellent. Maybe it's something to do with acoustics but we find the tone very rich, particularly on its equalizer settings - I purchased a couple of phono leads and connected to our nicam Sony VCR and/or DVD player. Another thing that must be said, is that we have not "hammered" ... ...long service. Although the original price was near to £400, I have since seen the same unit going on Ebay from around £50. The prices have come right down on these units now. Facilities:
The two speakers have two sets of cables, one (twin) set for standard stereo and another (quad) set for the surround sound. The system has a 3 X CD player. That means you can place 3 CDs in the tray and it will play through them one after the other, you can also ...

Review of Aiwa JAX N5 Stereo
Advantages: Wikid Bass! And Looks Sexy Disadvantages: None
I bought this stereo for £130 from Dixons about a year ago, and I'm very impressed with the features it provides.
The Aux connections at the back allow easy access to connect a portable device or your PC (using a 3.5mm to aux adaptor cable) and even DJ equipment (turntables/mixer). The CD tray accepts 3 CDs at any one time. This provides suitable space so that your favourite CDs are readily available to listen to, without the hassle of having to ... ...formatted CDs and CD-R/RW, so you can take all your music from your PC and listen to it on you stereo. It contains two cassette players, one that is continuous-play and the other which is recordable with auto-reverse. This allows recording from another cassette, radio or from a portable device (Mini Disc player). It also allows you to record a set from your turntables if you are a DJ. The looks of the stereo are amazing. The three-way speakers and ...

Really good system for less
Advantages: Price, Style, Features Disadvantages: None
...system to replace for other Aiwa I wanted a reliable, powerful and fairly small hi-fi and I am certainly glad I chose this. I had to choose between this model and a Sony that were both of equal price. However, the Aiwa had more features and so I chose this.
The spec is fairly standard with 3 CD player, double tape deck and radio. There is a total output of 80RMS which is more tha adequate although there are others with more but this is more than ... ...that changes depending on the music being played and the radio displays the station name, which is useful if you do not happen to memorise the different frequencies. Also you are able to store stations so you can quickly change between them by the touch of a button. The remote has the vast majority of functions on so that you do not even have to get off your bed or chair as the case maybe. One feature that my mum would be dissapointed it does not ...

Small size but big on sound
Advantages: Compact, Plays CDR's, Motorised Slide Action CD Tray. Disadvantages: Not the most attractive system, Poor Equaliser.
I've had this compact 'Aiwa Micro System' for over 3 years now and it still sounds great. It may not be over laden with features compared to today's modern systems but it can still pack a good punch.
Like nearly all systems it has all the standard CD features like: Next, Previous, Stop, Play, Pause, Fast Forward, Rewind, Repeat and Random. But what sets it apart from most others is it's 'Motorised Front loading, slide action CD tray'. This means ... ...the CD tray pops out from behind. It can play CD-R's and so far I haven't found any that it won't play. The 'CD Blank Skip' button is great if you want to create your own mix CD's and not want it to pause briefly in-between track changes.
In the middle of the system there are 3 round but flat dials. On the left you have the Multi Jog dial, which allows you to jump to CD tracks very quickly. The right hand dial is the volume control, while the centre ...
