...only thing I think the iSymphony could benefit from is having DAB digital radio stations. As this stereo system was coming out just after DAB was introduced, I am very surprised it wasn't included. I cannot remember exactly how much I paid for the system, but I think it was around the £150 mark. Disadvantages: Lack of DAB

Absolutely outstanding CD player & radio for the price. Paid £130.00 for mine from Amazon (UK). It is smaller than it looks in the pictures but is nice and weighty. Sound is excellent, although the bass has to be turned down and the treble increased from the default setting in order to achieve a good crisp sound. It geniunely feels as though there are speakers throughout the room, especially in 'wide' sound mode. Would need to spend £300+ on a hi-fi ...
...the lack of DAB; and also while the idea of the antenna in the mains lead is neat, it could be a problem in areas where radio reception is poor. This small, little, itsy stereo (around 7 inches in height) was brought firstly because of it's size as it has to fit a small space, but secondly for a young girls bedroom so it had to be easy to use but then looking into more detail it had some very good advantages, it played copy cd's, as well as ordinary cd's it had a DAB radio and stereo radio FM/AM it had a remote control and all at a very competitve price for such a small stereo. ...The stereo when switched on has a very nice funky blue screen that lights up when switched on. It is extremely easy to operate and the instruction booklet was also very simple to understand. It was easy to programme with the preset channel button on the remote control with channels of your own choice. The quality of the sound is very clear and good for 5W speakers. Go this HIFi to replace my 20 year old £1000 Technics system, which had a broken amp. Hence the reason for wanting a reasonable wattage. Some of these systems are just 5 amps which I don't think wouldm be any good. Thought that I'd use the old speakers, but in fact the sound is better with the ones supplied, even though they are a fraction of the size. Various tone options for good sound and everything works and is reasonably intuitive. Copes fine ...
...aren't too many tracks on it as it seems to need to read in all the tracks every time it is switched on (It has never managed to read my creative Zen with 36 hrs of music on it, but is fine with 50 or 60 tracks). This stereo is amazing! After nagging for it for almost a year, I finally got it for Christmas last year. When I took it out of the box, it struck me how good it looked. The sound quality is absolutely amazing! The bass is perfect, just as I like it. The USB is extremely useful for plugging it into my iPods, and the Bluetooth works brilliantly, it even works when the stereo is in my room, and the phone it's playing from is downstairs in the kitchen! ...
...my computer. CD playback is seamless, playing even scratched CDs perfectly. The feel of the stereo is very good, and feels very well put together, and the remote control is very well designed.
