Ministry of Sound DAB Micro System (MOSMC130) Advantages: Sound quality, Clear LCD, MP3 playback on CD player Disadvantages: LCD overly bright in standby for use in bedroom. Looks nice and decent sound quality. Pretty easy to use and reception seems pretty good. LCD is clear and bright and gives all the information you'd expect/want about current station. It plays MP3 tracks from CDs according to the manual (this isn't a feature I've ever used - so I can't comment on its effectiveness). The only drawback is that even when in standby - the LCD gives off a fair amount of ambient light - sufficient to be annoying in a ... Great system at this price Advantages: does a lot (mp3, cd, DAB, fm, etc) Disadvantages: DAB is faulty, confusing facia I got this system 2 years ago, and it's been fantastic... mostly. It's definitely a unique style and will suit you if you like the look of it. It's reasonably powered and the sub-woofer does a nice job of giving those beats some oomph! I particularly like the remote which is comprehensive and does just about everything you could need, though it is pretty large for a mini-system. On the up side, this has great sound, a nice design, and does a lot, ... ...and DAB radio, try finding that elsewhere at this price. On the downside, the DAB radio is a bit off, and often sounds garbled. I've had this unit replaced as a result, and the new one does this as well. All the same, it could be interference from neighbours or something of that sort. Good Little Stereo Advantages: Small, loud, easy set-up. uncomplicated Disadvantages: Durability when played on max volume is poor. ...have come across but this hitachi is great value for money. Really easy to use. Can give out a lot of bass when set up correctly but i will warn you thats how i blew the speakers on mine. Cd player will start to skip similar car Cd players if played on loud volumes for extended periods of time or after about 6 months of daily use. The opening mechanism on the cd tray will not open unless its on the cd function (learned the hard way again!). Gets ... ...very well with mp3 players. Has usb and memory card slots and will connect to a computer with red and white audio jacks. All in all i was very pleased with mine, great sound quality for a small price! I would suggest not playing this above volume 25 if you want it to last its life epectancy. The Sharp CD-SW 300 H super system Advantages: Rich sound, well made, nice 3D surround effect Disadvantages: Bass may be a little to much for some people Lets start off with the basics. This model has the now standard 2 cassette deck, Radio and CD player. This CD player also happens to be a 5 disc tray affair and is able to play mp3 and wma discs (good news for tech kids). JVC UX-S59 - Turn Up The Bass! Advantages: 5CD Changer, Remote Control, Good Sound Quality, FM Radio, Aux Input, MP3 Support Disadvantages: None After recieving this product as a gift, i was utterly thrilled at the quality and features it has to offer. A Five CD changer, FM Radio, And a brilliant overall sound quality through the two speakers. I generally listen to electronic dance music, and the 'Sound Turbo' and 'ABH Pro' features help increase the bass level to a phenomenal level. Room shaking bass levels when turned up full.
