The Sharp XL-1 Thousand!!!

Advantages: Great Sound and Easy to Use
Disadvantages: Heavy and Big unit

I recently bought the Sharp XL-1000 of off Ebay and am really impressed with it! The sound quality is fantastic and the speakers pump out the sound loud and with almost No distortion. I've got the POWER!!

Advantages: Very impressive sound quality! Four speakers and X-BASS feature for extra POWER
Disadvantages: Has a very small, fidgety remote. Cables for satellite speakers are quite short.

I purchased this Hi-Fi for my birthday and I can tell you that it's nothing short of amazing! The sound quality is, to put it simply, WOW! The X-bass feature gives truely ear drum bursting bass! There are a number of different sound modes like pop, jazz, rock etc. The CD player holds 3 discs so you don't have to go searching for that Queen CD that you bought last month. The Hi-fi has a duel cassette deck so you can record from one tape to the other ...
...The FM/ AM radio has a digital tuner so that you don't have to go turning knobs round until you find a particular station. Instead you just press a button and it does the searching for you! Advantages: Ease of use, powerful, super sound quality, good value for money
Disadvantages: Was heavy to carry back from the shop!!

I bought this on sale at Dixons for 130 quid, was supposed to be 170. The Sharp CD-SW 300 H super system

Advantages: Rich sound, well made, nice 3D surround effect
Disadvantages: Bass may be a little to much for some people

A Sharp System For A Music Enthusiast

Advantages: Good sound quality, 5-drawer CD changer, attractive blue glow
Disadvantages: CD trays rather fragile, unattractive LED display colour scheme, lacking a couple of features on remote control

...Secondly, the LED display, although sharp and informative on the current state of the CD player (i.e. which CD drives are in use etc) is not incredibly attractive, mixing what to me appeared as a strange choice of colours including classic white for the main track number and time display, green for other small icons, and orange for several other lables such as the extra bass icon.
