Technex's review of the Audio Technica ATH-A900

Advantages: Sound quality, 3D wing comfort, build quality.
Disadvantages: Large for outside.. Could fall off if heavy headbanger

After looking up for the best headphones to use on my computer mainly to play the game Counter Strike: Source and reading many forums I decided on these. Not only do these look great, but they offer THE BEST sound quality without using a external amp which can be expensive. These are low impendence headphones and can be powered by almost anything including all MP3 players to the same volume as a standard in ear bud would allow. The comfort of these things is great, they use Audio Technica's 3D wing system which is amazing you can hardly feel these on your head. One problem is though if you like to move your head around a lot or you headbang to music they can become loose. Review of Audio-Technica ATH-A900

The ANC7s on the other hand seem to come top of the class every time, no matter where you take them. It is easy to see that a lot of hard work has gone into the design process as well. Both headphones fold flat for easy storage in the case, and even without batteries they function perfectly well as normal headphones (no noise cancelling though!). The headband can be adjusted to accommodate heads of all shapes and sizes, and there is very little movement, even when subjected to extremely vigorous "head-banging." The noise ...

Fairly good value set of headphones

Advantages: Fairly cheap, integral volume control, good treble
Disadvantages: Tinny bass, the leatherette surface of the ear pads tends to peel, not very stylish

are better looking and sounding headphones around. Audio Technica make some fine examples, for a few more quid. ...
