Struck by Audrey.
Review of The Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger by
CandySuccubus
Advantages: Makes you think, Makes you realise, Lovely, amazingly written, sometimes humourous, heart warming, touching, sad.
Disadvantages: You don't want to finish the book, Very emotional, There is always something unexpected about to happen.
...The time travellers wife is an amazing book, using such a compelling idea and putting it into a dream scenario Audrey Niffenegger has made something that could challenge masterpieces.
This book makes you realise alot of things whiles reading it, I especially liked this because it was realistic, you could really imagine somebody in that sort of situation.
Some parts of the books were very heartwarming and others were quite sad, it combined alot of emotions to make it seem real.
The characters are strong and very down-to-earth, each of them having own personality traits that you get to find out over a period of time in the book.
Your almost always left guessing, it's not repetitive, it's cleverly set out. It unfolds as the story goes on, explaining times and events that have happened along the way.
Overall my opinion on this book...

If only we had time!
Review of The Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger by
Spongebob2
Advantages: Brilliant read, you won't want to put it down
Disadvantages: You won't get anything else done until you have read the last page
...I guarantee that this love story between Clare and Henry will keep you glued to your book. I read the first 200 pages in one sitting!
This is not your average love story - it is different. Henry’s rare genetic condition leaves them struggling to lead a normal life as he is cruelly pulled from the present, into the past, or the future with no warning, and no control.
Is it fantasy, yes it is. Is it believable, well it certainly stretches the imagination. Is it compelling, definitely, I guarantee you won’t be able to stop reading until you have reached the end.
Audrey Niffenegger’s approach to what is essentially an every day love story is fascinating. The book appears to break every writing rule. The character viewpoint changes page by page, the story jumps backwards and forwards with alarming speed, and on one page I was amused...

the only book i hav read in one sitting
Review of The Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger by
knackers
Advantages: like nothing i have read before
Disadvantages: may be confusing at first
...the only book i hav read in one sitting..... and then read again!
Henry, a librarian suffers from a rare genetic disease that hurtles him uncontrollably into the past, the future, and back to the present.
This book however is about as far from a scifi novel as u could expect, niffenegger concentrates on the relationship beween henry and claire, who first meet when henry is 36 and claire is 6 and marry when when Claire is 20 and Henry 28. It expolores their love and their loss, their struggle to have a child and the complexities of their lives together.
On the face of it an intruging story of the complexities facing henry de tamble living life as a time traveller, however it is indded a good old fashioned love story with a hugely original twist......
