...place to start’ is the Aussie philosophy. I have to say that I agree with them – so I thought I’d check this product out further before use.
Upon inspection of the bottle I found that it was for dry / damaged hair, and as I regularly colour mine I thought it could do with a bit of a treat. This product describes itself as a ‘Moisture infuser’ which is pretty impressive – especially if it lives up ... ...the smell associated with other Aussie hair products. The overall effect is not sickly sweet in anyway and has to be smelt to be appreciated fully.
The directions for use suggest that you should saturate hair with water before massaging the shampoo deeply into the scalp and roots and breathe deeply to enjoy fragrant aromatics. Then drench with water to rinse and repeat if desired.
Whilst staying at a friends recently I noticed this in her bathroom. She told me to go ahead and help myself to the array that she has in there and I decided to try this as she assured me that it worked well and smelt gorgeous.
The bottle itself is quite plain and pretty standard but does the job it needs to (see pictures attached).

Upon inspection of the bottle I found that it was for dry / damaged hair, and as I regularly colour mine I thought it could do with a bit of a treat. This product describes itself as a ‘Moisture infuser’ which is pretty impressive – especially if it lives up to that claim. It also tells you not to whinge over your dry, damaged hair because it’s unique formula with Australian Queensland Macadamia Nut, infuses moisture into dry, damaged hair and the emollients quench thirsty locks.
Reading further, I discovered that the Queensland macadamia nut is of course native of Australia. It is a small, chestnut brown nut which is rich in oils and blended with Aussie’s unique formula to help condition and smooth hair.
Right then, let’s see what it’s like… The shampoo itself is a pale creamy colour which is very silky in texture and look and has a good consistency. The smell is amazing – just from taking a whiff of it in the bottle there is a sweet nutty fragrance, which actually smells like macadamia nuts with underlying sweetness of bubblegum which is the smell associated with other Aussie hair products. The overall effect is not sickly sweet in anyway and has to be smelt to be appreciated fully.

Not much was needed to work into a good, rich lather in hair – I used about a ten pence piece sized amount as I have fairly long hair. The smell took over the bathroom at the stage and it was divine. I was left hoping that my hair would stay smelling this way and that it wouldn’t all disappear when rinsed. I found that the lather washed out easily and actually did leave the aroma on my hair.
Wondering what product to use next I spied recommendations on the end of the directions for use on the bottle suggesting either use with Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner or Miracle Hair Insurance Leave-In Conditioner.
After a quick check round the bath I found that she did in fact have a bottle of the 3 Minute Miracle and finished off with that.
The overall result after my hair was dry was quite impressive. The bubblegum smell was heightened (mainly thanks to the 3 min miracle product possibly) and my hair was left soft, shiny and manageable and not at all tangled (even when wet) or dry. I was pleased to find this as some shampoos which claim to aid dry hair seem to make it worse.
The smell which lingered the next couple of days until I washed it again and I was pleased to find that when I wet my hair before shampooing I got a pleasant whiff of it around my shoulders. Consequently I spent all the time in between washes prompting people to smell my hair - the general consensous was that it smelt lovely and wa a bit like, strawberries, bubblegum or sweet nuts.
My friend told me that she buys hers from Boots for £3.49 per 300ml bottle (the only size they do) but I have since seen this retailing at Asda and Tesco for £2.99 and Sainsbury for £3.29. Now, I thought this was a little bit much but for such a great product I think it's worth it and I am now seriously keeping an eye out for any offers on this product when I am in Boots and would recommend this shampoo to all.
I also have it on good authority that a bottle lasts my friend for ages and her hair is about the same length as mine (close to bra strap length), even with regular use.
There is also a Moist Conditioner so I’m surprised that the shampoo doesn’t recommend using this but my friend also has a bottle of that in her bathroom and it smells just the same as the shampoo and works just as well apparently.

So, I suggest you buy a bottle or find a friend who has some and give it a try - and I'm pretty sure that the first time you use it it'll have to same sort of effect - you know the 'smell my hair' routine. And when you can find anyone to smell it for you - give it a shake from side to side and get a whiff yourself - go on!

...of two bottles in the Aussie range for a fiver made it even more appealing!
Now with a name like Aussie Hair care you'd assume that this was shipped over by Quantas in bulk. Aussie Hair care is in fact manufactured by Clairol a subsidy of Procter and Gamble here in the UK. with a range of different products from shampoo's, conditioners, and hair gels the company makes the most of the Oz theme with most containing some wonder Oz ingredient! The company ... ...my hair -not saturating as Aussie suggests I tentively squeezed a dollop of the bubble gum smelling shampoo into the palm of my hand. Thankfully it was not a bright pink colour otherwise I'd have definitely not used it! With a perlescent creamy beige colour, it is a remarkable thick shampoo! Given that the company play on the fact it is packed with the brown chestnut coloured Macadamia nut you'd think it would be a slightly more darker shade that ...

Advantages: Smells lovely, smoothes hair and moisturises Disadvantages: Packaging, does not add much volume to hair
...Below the kangoroos is the Aussie logo with yet another kangoroo and the name of the product. The main ingredient of the shampoo is the Australian Queensland Macadamia Nut, which apparently is very rich in moisturising oils. When I first opened the bottle at Boots to have a quick whiff of the product, I was rather disappointed by the smell. It had a distinct bubble gum touch to it, which frankly, is not what I would want my hair to smell like. But ... ...Other products in the Aussie range include:

Colourmate - for colour-treated hair

Miracle hair insurance - conditioner for weak hair

Advantages: The smell, OMG... Its unbelievably Georgeous!!! Disadvantages: Bottles a bit boring, but what the hell!!
...This is the philosophy of Aussie Miracle Moist shampoo, created for dry/damaged hair.
I started using this shampoo after my hair highlighted blonde (yet again) at the hairdressers. When I had first got it done, it felt fine. But washed it a couple of days later with some normal, fairly cheap shampoo and found that once I'd dried it it was so frizzed up and dry, I could hardly get a brush through it, and it felt awful!! It was my mum who reccomended ... ...straight away. (I also bought Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner to use afterwards, as it is recommended on the back of the shampoo bottle.)
Now the bottle isn't anything to shout about, its a pale yellowy sort of colour with blue writing on it. It tells you about the 'Australian Queensland Macadamia Nut' on the back of the bottle and it is described as; "Native to Australia, this small chestnut brown nut, rich in oils, is blended with our unique ...

Advantages: Washes hair pretty well Disadvantages: Smells awful!!
I hold my hands up here and admit to two of my weaknesses, (you needn’t think that I am going to let you in any more!!) I love all things Australian and I just have to try out most new products. So when I saw this shampoo on the shelves at my local supermarket there was little chance of it getting left there!
Actually to be fair it isn’t all that new as I have seen it there before, but in my never ending quest to test new products for ... ...I gave this one a “shower” test! So me and it, along with its little brother, ColourMate conditioner (another op to follow one day on that one…) found our way into my shower at the weekend and thus began a steamy affair!
There isn’t a great deal you can write about shampoo I don’t think, so I will do my best to make this as interesting as possible for you, in the hope that you will stay the distance! So lets begin…

Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo Review
I had seen adverts and recommendations for the Aussie range of hair care products in all my girly magazines. And after trying a sample of the 3-minute miracle conditioner and liking the results, I thought I might as well give their shampoo ago.
I searched in Boots and SuperDrug and my local supermarket and was shocked to find the price for a 300ml bottle was £3.99. This might not be ... ...I decided to purchase the Aussie Moist Shampoo and the Aussie Moist Conditioner to go with I while I was there.
The Packaging
******************************************************************************
The Aussie Moist shampoo comes in a plain, off-white plastic bottle, not sure if it's recyclable or not because it doesn't say.
The cap has been really annoying designed. You have to push one side down quite firmly and it flips the other side ...

Advantages: Smells lovely, good value, works. Disadvantages: The smell if you do not like it.
My shampoo is a little different to the one shown here as it is called Aussie Miracle MoistShampoo. However I guess that the principle is the same, only perhaps more so. With my aged hair attempting to resemble fuse wire, both in colour and texture, it certainly needs a helping hand. I suppose it does not help either that I now have my hair dyed blond, at the hairdressers, having been a natural brunette all my life. Still I always wanted to grow old disgracefully.
I have tried an Aussie product before and was really pleased with the results. So whilst out shopping in Wilko, and looking for a true miracle for my slightly dry and very damaged hair, I came across this shampoo and thought I may as well give it a go. Priced at £2 something or other for a 300ml bottle it was reasonably priced. Especially if it did the trick. So what was ...
Advantages: smell is beautiful, makes my hair lovely....soft and nourished! Disadvantages: Can be expensive
I was browsing the shelves of my local Superdrug the other day and noticed a sale on Aussie Miracle Moist. I used to use this a few years ago but the price soon went up and unfortunately I was forced to use the cheaper products. A shame really as this stuff is really worth £3.99 per bottle.
~*~*~*~AUSSIE PRODUCTS~*~*~*~
There are many products in the Aussie range, all claim to be nourishing for hair with special properties for making the hair and scalp moist. One the best products I have found for this is the 3 minute miracle moist a treatment that is left on then washed off leaving the hair shiny and soft.
The products are split into three categories deep treatment, shampoo/conditioner and leave in conditioning treatment. This review is about the 'AussieMoistShampoo' from the shampoo/conditioner category ...
Advantages: Smells gorgeous, Makes hair moisturised - V. good quality Disadvantages: Quite expensive....
The Aussie Philosophy stands as "There's more to life than hair but it's a good place to start"
Aussie describes Miracle MoistShampoo as being suitable for 'hair that's dry/damaged/a bit unhappy. I decided that my hair already fell into the 'unhappy' category, and almost certainly into the other two if I didn't start to look after it properly.
So, when I discovered that my Christmas present this year was a pair of GHD straighteners (huzzah!) I decided to invest in this shampoo for another Christmas present! =) Anyway so upon recieving two shampoo/conditioner shaped parcels, (to which I eagerly ripped open =D) I found Aussie's Miracle MoistShampoo and the infamous 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner (another review coming later!)
