For the last twenty years I have had the same hair colour -style -length etc. and have not been to the hairdresser for years, just tended to hack away at my fringe so that I could see where I was going and tie the rest up …. Out of sight out of mind seams to ring a bell!!
Now after watching 10 Years Younger the TV, I thought it was about time I sorted my dated locks out, so I went to a local "trendy" salon and had eight inched cut off and the underneath of my hair dyed dark purple!!!
Well my husband thinks it's an improvement, but a few people have said "what have you been doing with your hair?" in a strange tone.

I treated myself to the Aussie shampoo and the conditioner at £3.99 each from Morrisions I have checked other store and chemists and this seems to be a general price, this is more than I would spend on hair care products in two months normally. The shampoo is in a yucky beige 300ml bottle and the conditioner is in a white 250ml bottle which is very strange as the MEGA shampoo has loads left and the MEGA conditioner has nearly run out after two weeks. The product it's self is a yucky beige colour as well. When you open the bottles they both smell the same, Australian Kangaroo Paw flower is the magic ingredient and provides the smell, it's a bit sweet but not very strong at all. The Kangaroo Paw is native to the open eucalyptus forests of Western Australia and named for the appearance of its unopened flower cluster. The flowers appear in red, purple, green, or yellow. The Kangaroo Paw is a member of the Haemodoraceae family of the Anigozanthos genus. There are 11 or 12 Kangaroo Paw species including cultivars. Two of the most common are in the United States they are Anigozanthos manglesii and Anigozanthos flavidus. This plant is supposed to add vitality and shine. My hair feels really soft for about a day then it starts to get heavy and greasy which it never did before, I would say I had dry hair normally and this product has made it greasy.
The directions are a real laugh, they tell you to saturate your hair with water, I think they mean wet it, then you rub in the product and enjoy the fragrant aromatics by breathing deeply what a laugh, then they tell you to drench with water, in other words use it just like any other shampoo.
The bottles also offer a bit of Aussie philosophy, well they have to justify the extortionate price somehow, it states - "there's more to life than hair, but it's a good place to start."
I have just looked at the web site which is www.aussiehair.com and the entire range of bottles look bright and nothing like my dull ones so perhaps they have changed the packaging which is a great improvement.
If you have any question you can contact the manufacturers Procter & Gamble on 0800181 184.
The products are made in the UK and there is no mention of testing on animals which is a bit concerning, usually if products are not tested on animals the package says so, this has bothered me so much I have just called their help line and asked………… The very polite customers services lady informed me that none of their products are tested on animals but somewhere along the production line one or more of the ingredients may have been tested on animals so as a result of that they can not make any claims on the bottles.
My overall opinion of the Aussie hair care range is not good, the products don't have a wonderful smell, they don't work miracles on your hair and they are well over priced, I'm glad I've tried them so I can save you all the expense of finding out for yourselves.
Advantages: Non-tangly hair Disadvantages: Not a disadvantage per say but always sold out in shop!
...years ago when I discovered Aussie products, namely Aussie Miracle Moist (shampoo for dry/damaged hair) and Aussie Mega Instant (conditioner for normal hair). These products are not specifically recommended for use together, but I've found that this combination works really well. Unfortunately, I only use Mega Instant by default (not to subtract from it's effectiveness), as my product of choice, Aussie Slip (a detangling conditioner) is, I assume, ... ...none the wiser).
The Aussie range of haircare is pretty average in price - not the cheapest but by no stretch the most expensive either. I buy my toiletries from a very well known high street retailer and frequently see these products on offer or attached to a promotion. I normally pay £3.99 per bottle, excluding the various offers/promotions, so obviously this figure is not set in stone. This price is also give or take from store to store.

Advantages: Smells yum without being overpowering, leaves hair soft Disadvantages: Doesn't leave hair shiny, looks a tad unexciting
...did I a-spy but the Aussie range... no not on offer, but giving away 200 extra Sainsbury points for each bottle bought. Hmm, the Aussie Mega Shampoo for normal hair was a rather hefty £3.49, but then I quite liked the idea of trying out an Australian inspired haircare range, as I'm about to travel out there soon, and well I'm easily tempted by these things anyway!
I didn't buy the accompanying Aussie Mega Instant Conditioner then, and just as well ... ...very same range available in Superdrug at a third off! I tutted at myself (I always prefer to pay less rather than accumulate more points) but then promptly bought the conditioner anyway.
The shampoo comes in a matt, beige coloured 300ml bottle, while the conditioner is slightly smaller at 250ml, and comes in a white bottle. Neither bottles are clear, which can be a bit annoying if you like to see easily how much you've used, but both do have reliefs ...

Advantages: The best around, leaves your hair looking gorgeous Disadvantages: I dont think they sell full bottles of it
Every so often like many other women (and men) use of a hairdryer, straighteners and styling products becomes too much for my battered old hair and it looks dull and horrible. So I always head off to Boots looking for a cheap, quick fix for my hair and I particularly rate using sachets for this type of problem coz there's no point buying a whole bottle of stuff unless you're 100% certain it'll tackle the problem as it's just a waste of money.
A ... ...sachets I decided to give the 'Aussie 3 Minute Miracle' treatment a go. It was around £1.09 or something in Boots and was a small sachet but quite packed with conditioner compared to other sachets where I have had trouble getting enough out to satisfy my long hair. The instructions were simple and if I remember rightly you just put it on you hair after shampooing for three minutes as the name would suggest then just rinse out. So no problems doing ...

Advantages: One of the best end results of 3 minute masks available Disadvantages: Doesn't last long (if you buy the sachet)
Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Mask is available in sachet form (for around 99p - £1.10) and in a normal size conditioner bottle. Available in most supermarkets, chemists, and beauty shops e.g. Superdrug, Boots, Sainsbury's.
Why use it?
If your hair gets dry, coarse, breakable with split ends (like mine) then you need this product. There are many 1/2/3 minute masks that aim to put moisture back into your hair/de-frizz etc. and this is the one that I have ... ...much more healthy.
Price:
Aussie products are not the cheapest on the market but this is because they actually work. However, I have found that continually using products such as the 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner, works better if it is not used everyday, every week. Use it for a week every time you wash your hair then have a break because otherwise your hair gets too used to the shampoo/conditioner and is not as effective.
Gorgeous smell too! ...

Advantages: Gives your hair real volume and bounce. Disadvantages: A little on the pricey side.
...tried a sachet of the Aussie Real Volume Shampoo and after the first application it gave my hair rapid results. I noticed that my hair had a lot more volume, shine and bounce after using this particular shampoo, perhaps if I had tried the complete haircare range in the Aussie series I would have hair that is out of this world. The smell is nice and you dont need to use tones of the shampoo to give your hair a good wash like some shampoo's, and the ...
Advantages: Gorgeous smell, doesnt weigh hair down Disadvantages: None!
I got the Aussie Hair Miracle as a free sample in a magazine. So I'm not sure how much it costs in shops or what the packaging is like, although I expect it is similar to all other Aussie products which are in cream coloured bottles with basic lettering.
I don't always use the free samples I get but thought I would try this one last night after recently finding a more expensive deep conditioner I really liked (GHD deep conditioner). So I was hoping I would also like this [cheaper] alternative.
My Experience
The conditioner felt like just a normal conditioner, it wasn't quite as thick as others I have tried. It smelt like some of the other Aussie products I have had, kind of like a bubblegum kind of smell. I really like it anyway!
I smoothed it over mainly the ends of my hair. I found I needed to use more of it than ...
Advantages: It works! You get quite big bottles. Disadvantages: Smells wierd (what aussie product doesn't?) Doesn't work straight away.
This is the second of three of Aussie's 3 Minute 'Miracles' I don't particularly like the 'Reconstructor' but that is another review.
Where can it be found, and how much does it cost?
Aussie products can be found in most supermarkets and pharmacies but specific products can be hard to find in small stockist's.
As expected some retailers might charge more than other places so you'll have to shop around, but the price in Boots is £4.49 for a big bottle which I think is very good! But Superdrug may be cheaper, which it usually is.
What is the packaging like?
All of Aussie 3 Minute Miracles come in either 250ml bottles or 20ml sachets, as I have said the big bottle casts £4.49 so it works out £1.80 per 100ml (And no I didn't work that out, it says that on the Boots website.) The bottles are rather stange because the lid is ...
