Advantages: Great writing, long books, trilogys allow in depth detail.
Disadvantages: Only 6 books!

Trudi Canavan is an Australian born fantasy writer. Her first full length published book was the "Magician's Guild", the first part of "The Dark Magician Trilogy". These books revolve around a slum girl Sonea and her difficult and unlikely rise up through the ranks of magicians, and her problems and adventures along the way. ...is a better read than Trudi Canavan's previous trilogy. The second book "Priestess of the White" in my view is the highlight of Trudi Canavan's works so far. It should be noted that the trilogys can be (and were written to be) read independently. Over the course of Trudi Canavan's writing career she has received many accolades, and rightly so. Her books are of an extremely high standard and I highly recommend them to anyone. I await with anticipation ... Read review

Chuck Palahniuk is my most favourite author.I got hooked on to his books after i read his" Fight Club".Then i read his other novels like "Stranger than fiction" and " Haunted ".I loved all his books.The next one on my list is " Lullaby " which i have heard is awesome, in fact quite scary!!! Some members of the media have labeled him as a "shock writer' because of the nature of his books and the subject he writes about, but thats what makes him different ...
