Medieval England
Review of Bernard Knight by paulpry118

Advantages: A good read
Disadvantages: none

I found Bernard Knights books by accident whilst shopping in Tesco. Some books were on offer of 3 for £10.00. Being an avid reader I thought I'd give them a go even though I normally prefer horror espicially James Herbert. I'm really pleased that I did. Bernard Knight was born in 1931 in Cardiff and qualified as a Doctor in 1954 and as a Barrister in 1967. He served in the Army as a pathologist and Army Doctor. He became a Home Office pathologist ...
...retail price is £6.99. In my opinion. The books give a good insight to medieval England and if you like historical reading, these books are well worth the read. They are easy to read and average between 350 - 400 pages. Bernard Knights Website is http://bernard-knight.mysite.orange.co.uk ... Read review

NIGHTMARES FOR THE PAST MONTH THE GREEN MILE
Review of Stephen King by heather12uk

Advantages: YOUR HOOKED
Disadvantages: NO SLEEP DUE TO NIGHTMARES AND NOT BEEN ABLE TO PUT THE BOOK DOWN

I STARTED READING STEPHEN KING BOOKS A FEW MONTHS AGO AND EVERY NIGHT I HAVE A KNIGHTMARE. THATS JUST HOW SCARY THEY ARE. I STARTED OFF WITH THE GREEN MILE WHICH IS THE BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ. YOU MUST READ THE BOOK BEFORE YOU WATCH THE FILM. YOU GET SO MUCH MORE FROM THE BOOK, THE FILM LOOSES MORE THAN HALF OF THE STORY. IT HAS EVERYTHING IN IT , IT MAKES YOU LAUGH, CRY, GET ANGRY AND HORRIFIED. YOU LOVE THE CHARECTERS EVAN THOUGH THEY ARE DEATH ...
...AS HORRIFYING AS USUAL FOR STEPHEN KING. BUT AS I SAID BEFORE YOU WILL FEEL EVERY EMOTION POSSIBLE WHILE READING THIS STORY. added on sorry about the captital letters my baby was sick on the keyboard and the shift key will not work. so from now on i will type in little letters untill i invest in a new keyboard. anyway to continue after finising the green mile i was desperate to get some more stephen king books and as i have just been made redundant ... Shaking it up in the kitchen with Jamie Oliver
Review of Jamie Oliver by Spottydog11

Advantages: Easy to use, home made sauces, no mess, healthy
Disadvantages: None

...We all know and love Jamie Oliver, the award winning Naked Chef, star of Jamie's school dinners and successful restaurants, books and cookery programmes. I am going to review today his Flavour Shaker. If you are not familiar with the Jaime Flavour Shaker it is actually one of his inventions. He modelled it on the process of a traditional pestle and mortar. A pestle and mortar grind ingredients together to make a nice paste or marinade but it a very ...
...strength and makes a lot of mess. The flavour shaker looks quite like a salt and pepper shaker and allows you to put in lots of different ingredients, shake it up with the help of a ceramic ball, and then turns it into a sauce. It has a lid on the top so no mess. My husband and I received one of these for a wedding present last year and have been using it all the time since. I like the fact that I can add my own fresh ingredients and that I am guaranteed ... Read review

Creator of a parallel universe
Review of Jasper Fforde by Galadriel1010

Advantages: Hilariously funny and extremely engaging
Disadvantages: You might die of laughter

Jasper Fforde has to be one of the funniest people I've ever met. I met him at a book signing in Hey-on-Wye, where our friends, who run the local bakery, had sponsored him for several years, but hadn't this year due to a communications failure of some kind. Still, despite the fact that they weren't sponsoring him, he'd written them a jingle, which he read out at his presentation. Fforde is as good a stand-up comedian as he is an author, which is ...
...again after it gets the Jasper Fforde treatment. Every book he has written is a pleasure to read and will bring a smile to your face at the most random times, when you see a book sale, for example, or when you see a gingerbread man. If you want to know what I'm talking about, you'll have to read them, won't you? ... Read review
