Want To Play? By P.J.Tracy
Advantages: Well written and interesting read Disadvantages: none
...been singing the praises of P.J. Tracy for the past year. So under considerable pressure I finally relented and decided to give it a go. I am always conscious when someone recommends an author to you that opinions vary and what one person loves anything may loathe.
The Author:
This was a complete shock to me for a start. A book written by two authors! In this case it was a mother/daughter combination of Traci and PJ Lambrecht. I'm so glad I found ... ...bothered, as I would have expected the book to be very disjointed.
This was their first best selling thriller. These were quickly followed by three more also best sellers, 'Snow Blind', 'Dead Run' and 'Live Bait'. All sharing this successful idea of two related writers.
The story of the book:
An elderly couple, the Kleinfedts are killed in a church in Kingsford County, Wisconsin. The local Police see this as a random act against two highly unpopular ...

Steve Turner Upto date
For me steve Turner is a negative poet but yet brilliant. He expresses life into poetry exactly how we feels, one of my favourite poem is called 'The Gap', it is about of how at school you have friends which are part of you and then you leave and move away, and don't see each other for years and when you do you have nothing left to say to them. Steve Turner says it is better if you don't see each other because you can always ... ...to deal with let down. Another of my favourite poems is called 'The Appeal' it is about third world countries and thier people, he talks about famine and he says they are lucky to be slim. They live the simple life and if they knew any better they would become like us. He is a brilliant poet and appeals to all ages. ...

Tolkien's Christian themes kept bringing me back
Advantages: the Christian message Disadvantages: none
...of Middle-Earth, the achievement of J.R.R. Tolkien, Paul Kocher examines what it is that attracts Sauron to the ring: 'Sauron's whole appetite is for command of other wills' (Kocher, 1974:56). Kocher then looks at Saruman, the 'secondary' evil character in the book, and examines his motive in desiring the ring: 'Saruman is more like Sauron than he realizes. They believe in the same thing, supremacy through absolute power' (Kocher, 1974:63). Kocher ... ...more specifically power to dominate others. However, those familiar with the book will know that it is not just Sauron and Saruman who are tempted by the ring. Many of the other characters are tempted by it: Gollum, Frodo, Sam, Gandalf, Galadriel, Aragorn and Boromir are just some of the other characters tempted, although all but Boromir and Frodo resist the temptation to yield it. In her article An Allegory Unveiled, a reading of The Lord of the ...

Advantages: mystery in maine Disadvantages: expected slighly more on conclusion
...and couldnt but it down. Rosie Thomas's unique perceptions about the human character, whether young or old, male or female, kept me enthralled throughout. I love the mystery that she brings to her novels, and remember reading Potters House with equal enjoyment. However, this book just makes me want to spend my summers in a white clap boarded house on the untamed coast of Maine, and meet the characters that the author creates who seem to 'walk' out ... ...youth! How perceptive of Rosie Thomas to highlight the passions and dreams of first love that is evident in Doone. I loved the William/Sarah twist which was completely unexpected, although I worked out Marty from the first photograph of May playing volleyball. Overall, this was wonderful escapism and I shall miss it. Tomorrow I plan to go to the bookshop and buy another of Rosie Thomas's brilliantly crafted novels. ...
