So you've been out and bought the car of your dreams. Well maybe not a Ferrari but something better than what you had. Now you only have one major problem left. HOW TO GET RID OF YOUR OLD CAR.
You could hit lucky and advertise for peanuts in your local paper and immediately find a buyer, hoewever, this only normally happens if you are selling something a little special. Many people like me have had to find other options.
I have used Autotrader on a couple of occasions and submitted photograph, description etc on line. I have then waited for the magazine to come out and waited and waited and waited. Then I think was the advert entered so I fork out another arm and a leg for a magazine. Yes it is along with another 6 adverts for 6 similar cars in my area, all at varying prices. I have not yet sold a car through autotrader however once you put your advert in you will become very popular with other magazines plying for your business. Unless you are carefull your much loved old car will disappear into advertising costs.
I tend to avoid Autotrader because of the costs involved. As an ex mechanic I am lucky enough to know what I am looking at. In light of this I tend to use Ebay and put up with the travelling. It often works out cheaper than multuple autotrader adveryising.
I've never heard of Autotrader... then again I don't have a car to get rid of. Your review was useful, but I must agree, a bit short. How much does it actually cost to put an advertisement in the magazine? If you make any changes give me a message and I'll be happy to re-read your review. Esther x.

This review was useful to read. I am still not sure I need a car in London. The main use is the weekly grocery shop to Tesco. All the other places we visit are accesible by public transport. If I was single then I would definitely not run a car...Paul
