Auto Windscreens

Having reduced my insurance cover to third party to enable me to get my son insured at an affordable price, I found myself with a cracked windscreen and no windscreen cover. The company who I would have used (had I got cover) quoted me £395.99 for a replacement screen. A bit of net surfing and a few phone calls later I found Auto Windscreens. I found the call centre staff very helpful, and was quoted a much reduced price of £156 for my screen, all inclusive of VAT, call out and fitting. If your like me, you like your car abit "too much". The thought of anyone having to work on it other than yourself fills you with a small amount of worry. Well, the Auto Windscreens engineer was very knowledgable and set me at rest very quicky. I informed him that I'd had my windscreen replaced by a less well known competitor several months ago due to some roof damage. It took that company 5 attempts to get all aspects acceptable. I discovered a windscreen crack on 24 December and was directed to Auto Windscreens via my insurer. The service has been first rate throughout. Initial contact with the call centre provided a really favourable impression. I was asked to provide some details in respect of the appearance and extent of the crack : the call centre made this easy by asking me to think in terms of coin size. My vehicle had a pretty serveor chip in the windscreen, I was directed to autowindscreens by my insurance company. One quick phonecall, and an autowindscreens engineer came out to my place of work the next day.He assessed the chip and it was decided there and then that it would require a replacement screen, as the chip was irrepaireable. He ordered the parts on site, ordered for the next working day. The engineer then arranged with me where to meet me to fit the windscreen.
