...This book is very well written. It is written by Microsoft Writers Craig Stinson and Carl Siechert which have written many Microsoft Book which are equally excellent.
The book helps Power Users to do advanced tasks by showing step-to-step guides on how to do things like:
- Managing Users and Groups
- Using Group Policy
- Customizing User Work Environments
- Managing Services
- Administering Remote Service
and many other things that Windows 2000 has to offer. It has detailed information on Disk management in terms of NTFS, Disk maintaince - Scandisk and Defragmentation. It has information on Dual boots, Managing Hardware, Setting up IIS, Managing Networks, Managing Security and much more tasks.
I have used this book alot in relation to working with Windows 2000 and it has helped me to complete tasks that I need to perform...

Advantages: Real World Parallels, Development of Techniques, In Depth Details and Vast Coverage Disadvantages: A very low (expert) level, some what to defined
...understand differnet implentations. It is written more like a transcription of a lecture on cryptography, rather than a reference text that a reader might want to study to develop an understanding of the subject.
This book covers end to end the steps you would need to take to implement a cryprtographic system, but doesn't really help develop a full understanding of things that aren't specifiically laid out in the text.

Advantages: Over 500 colourful screenshots, Excellent layout, Raccoon City map included showing key places Disadvantages: The author's writing style can be quite annoying
...This walkthrough is a must for anyone stuck in the game or for those wanting to complete the game and uncover all the secrets from begining to end!
It's a step by step guide using over 500 Illistrations and screenshots from the game to help the reader see exactly what to do and the writing is very informative... However, the author does tend to use language which many people may find irratating and annoying. He tries (bless him!) to make light of the text and add jokes but most of the time he doesnt quite suceed..
Other than this though the book is excellent as it offers the reader -
A huge pull-out poster with map of all relevant points in Raccoon City - including hints and tips!
