Good solid bit of kit for the workplace

I have used the Avaya 6408D+ at work for over 2 years and I have to say I am quite impressed with it. This is a digital phone designed to be used in a business environment. In order to function properly, it requires a digital circuit that is set up as part of a digital telephone system. In my company we have the AUDIX messaging system for voice mail and call transfers. This allows a user to set up their own voicemail greeting and also allows a personal login to receive messages. The 6408D+ is a corded phone that includes a built-in 2-way speakerphone. Above the keypad are 6 function buttons: MUTE turns off the microphone associated with the handset so the person at the other end of line cannot hear you (a red light indicates when this is in use) SPKR for activating the speakerphone (a red light indicates when this is in use) HOLD ...

The Avaya IP Office DONT DO IT

Advantages: I Know of None Yet
Disadvantages: To Many to Mention in only 15 Words

We used to Have an INDEX PBX it was great in the 5 years we had it we did not have one problem with it , then one day a sales man from out phone system maintain came along and convinced me to upgrade to the new IP Office only on the instalation day was i to find out that salesman was the Devil himself . I am rigting this review a month and a half after getting the IP office and within that time I have had 3 different IP Offices units about 7 software patches 6 Massive bills and a pounding headach and after all that it still does not work Our maintainer cant fix it as the do not have enough engerneers to go around all there customers that they have sold the IP office to every time one off our problems gets escalated back to Avaya you have to chase them for a week and to keep you quiet they send back a patch that does nothing. since ...
