Verdict
Logitech Dialog 812 Headset is a great device. The rubberized headband is soft and comfortable with a double-band that keeps it from slipping from my head. I love the earpieces that deliver high-quality sound output. My 2-year-old kid tore the foam fittings but it didn't actually affect the sound output though the loss of foam fittings made the earpieces slip from my ears sometimes. and over all look of the thing. Also included (should be) instructions, and a charger with 3 different voltages. For the USA Britain and Europe (more later on). The box is nice and appealing and also shows a model with the headset on and her Motorola phone.
-The Headset-
The headset only measures 9cm long when it is fully opened out and 5cm wide including the ear hook. The headset can fold up and then it only measures 5 cm long. The ear hook also opens out so you can hook it and the close it over your ear. The hook is made of soft rubber so it is comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The speaker is surrounded by soft rubber and then a layer of rubber outlining it so that it is also comfortable. The headset is a light grey colour with a blue middle and silver buttons and symbols. This headset is a bit expensive for its quality. Although i bought mine outside the country for a considerable lesser price, had i known better, i would have bought a wireless one.
It is still functional after two years. I lost both of the voice tube microphone cover though and i think that is whats causing too much echo when i talk and too much mic sensitivity. That also causes alot of feed back so i have to press on mute all the time, and everytime i am done speaking, to avoid the feedbacks.
On the upside it supports all Plantronics amplifiers and USB-to-headset adapters so i guess i just have to get one. It is also comfortable to wear for long hours. I would not recommend to get leatherette ear cushions, that made my ears sweat and itchy eeks. ...
