I have this phone on my desk and it is really excellent. I don't have any problems. It looks like new and it is used every working day.
The user interface is very easy and intuitive.
The phone has a small light which is red when the phone rings. This is great becuase all my colleagues have the same phone and sometimes we don't know which phone rings. In addition it is possible to change the ring tone.
The display has big letters, you may see what was the last missed calls.
You may forward the call to an other number.
Nothing is missing - all functions are there. I didn't manage to create my own phone book but maybe because this is an IPphone.
The phone fell on the floor more than one time and it is still working.
The speakerphone works well and you may set the volume and save the settings.

Advantages: ease of use, strong, durable, linking into GAL, remote managment and upgrades from call manager. Disadvantages: Call quality is dependant on quality of the Network. Duplex settings, over utilized network, etc
In my experience with the Cisco IPphone 7941, which has been for 5 years or so, has been nothing but pleasure. There features to link into AD and the ability to log onto any phone in the building and look up a user on the GAL on AD is very handy indeed. Call Transfer,Conference, Mute are the standard features.
The Phones will have to be set up to work with a call manager, Which is a centre point to manage the phones, and has the ability to record conversation for quality control, etc.
They have 2 options when it comes to powering these phones, on is to buy a power adapter, the other is to buy a Cisco Switch that can supply power to the phones via Ethernet.
They are strong and reliable, they have been used as call centre phones, and we know what kind of abuse they would be put through in that environment.

We used to Have an INDEX PBX it was great in the 5 years we had it we did not have one problem with it , then one day a sales man from out phone system maintain came along and convinced me to upgrade to the new IP Office only on the instalation day was i to find out that salesman was the Devil himself . I am rigting this review a month and a half after getting the IP office and within that time I have had 3 different IP Offices units about 7 software patches 6 Massive bills and a pounding headach and after all that it still does not work Our maintainer cant fix it as the do not have enough engerneers to go around all there customers that they have sold the IP office to every time one off our problems gets escalated back to Avaya you have to chase them for a week and to keep you quiet they send back a patch that does nothing. since ...
