Advantages: Works and feels refreshing. Disadvantages: Cost
...One of my clients at the newspaper is an aveda salon, so I’m a little biased about the products even though I don't get staff discount!
At the minute I’m currently a slave to clinique for all my face care products i.e. moisturiser, cleanser etc. But recently my pores have been looking a bit worse for wear and before I hadn't noticed anything like this on my face so anyway I was having a chat with the lady at the aveda salon and she asked if I used a toner I said I wasn't sure as the clarifying lotion I use by clinique doesn't seem to have a specific use. She recommended that I try the aveda toning mist and see if it makes any difference.
I paid 5.50GBP for 50ml fof this product and I felt I was paying a premium for the packaging, it comes in a dark green glass bottle with a pump action spray for easy use. You can get it in 150ml...

Advantages: Light and suitable for all skins Disadvantages: None
...UPDATED Feb 2001
If like me you suffer from very sensitive skin, you'll know the nightmare of applying various cleansers and moisturisers only to be sporting the worst case of acne/spots/rash/boils the very next day as one of those lovely (?) little chemical ingredients has reacted big time!! And since developing M.E. I seemed to have developed even more of an intolerance to various chemical based products...so what's the answer?? Drum roll....bring on the Aveda I say.......
Aveda products are very very gentle, they are all purely plant essence based and without a trace of a petro-chemical to be seen!! I have never experienced any sort of reaction from any Aveda product, and their Botanical Kinetics Hydrating Lotion is like a healing mask for my skin. I'd drink the stuff if I could!!!
So what can I tell you about this wonderful...

Advantages: it works! Disadvantages: v.v.expensive
...As a sales rep for a local newspaper I have to visit lots of different customers one of which is a beauty salon who is a main stockist of aveda products. I’ve had lots of wonderful treatments there and have experienced a lot of aveda products. I find aveda products quite expensive but as they are all made of natural ingredients and not tested on animals then I don’t mind treating myself to something now and again. I bought avedas smoothing body polish because I’m going on holiday shortly and really need to get rid of that dry winter skin and also to have a go at targeting that horrible orange peel that seems to have adopted the back of my thighs!!
What is it?
------------
Aveda smoothing body polish is an exfoliant for the body, which contains finely ground walnut shells, kelp aloe and lavender. The cream itself looks like mustard...

I have been using this mousse for the last two months.
The thing that I love most about this mousse is that it is alcohol free. In my case that means that I do not have an allergic reaction when I use it.
Another great thing is that the bottle is... more
