Aveda Balancing Infusion (Oily/Acne Skin)

...UPDATED Feb 2001 If like me you suffer from very sensitive skin, you'll know the nightmare of applying various cleansers and moisturisers only to be sporting the worst case of acne/spots/rash/boils the very next day as one of those lovely (?) little chemical ingredients has reacted big time!! And since developing M.E. I seemed to have developed even more of an intolerance to various chemical based products...so what's the answer?? Drum roll....bring on the Aveda I say....... Aveda products are very very gentle, they are all purely plant essence based and without a trace of a petro-chemical to be seen!! I have never experienced any sort of reaction from any Aveda product, and their Botanical Kinetics Hydrating Lotion is like a healing mask for my skin. I'd drink the stuff if I could!!! ...I purchased Simple Moisturising Foaming Facial Wash as wanted to try a gentle cleanser that was pH balanced and wouldnt leave my face tight (all of this it claimed to do on the back). I have oily/spot prone skin and read that a gentle cleanser would be better for me, as it would cause less irritation that the generic acne fighting washes. I used this product before i went to bed. It was a thick liquid consistancy, not smelling of anything (as it says unperfumed). It lathered up well and had a bit of foam. I then rinsed off. My face looked really clean but it felt too tight and dry...and i have really oily skin! I had to put moisturiser on parts of my face as felt tight, i was really surprised as even the special washes for oily skin arent as drying and this one is meant to be for sensitive/dry skin types?!.
