Advantages: effective. lovely to use Disadvantages: quite pricey, not available in all areas
...This was one of the first colour-enhancing shampoos and is still probably the best. Aveda makes a whole range of shampoo to highlight various colours, and all are absolutely excellent quality. The really lovely thing about them is that they all use natural ingredients, and unlike some of the newer formulations, there's absolutely no chance of colour build up or hair damage. The BlueMalva neutralises yellow or brassy tones in blonde or grey hair - and it works. Like most of Aveda's stuff the smell is absolutely gorgeous too. If you want a stronger effect there's a conditioner to match (which I use fortnightly and leave on all night)...

Advantages: Enhances your natural colour Disadvantages: none
...Aveda this is a lovely shampoo.I first brought the rang from QVC and since then I have had it sent to me from America and got it in Florida and transported home, it is worth it.The BlueMalva is for Blonde hair but my whole family use it.It makes my hair feel nice and gives it a glow no other shampoo does.It does enhance your natural colour, though hard to believe it does.Your hair will smell fresh and the use of conditioners is not really needed as your hair is not stripped of natural oils.
I have highlighted my hair and this shampoo is so gentle it still gives me bounce and control.
You may think it a tad expensive but it lasts and you will get more washes than other shampoo's that are cheaper....

Advantages: Clean fresh smell, for un/natural Blondes and Greys everywhere Disadvantages: Not to be used every wash. You need to switch at least once a week to another shampoo pref from Aveda
...I am an Aveda Fan have tried and use most of the range.
I have "dirty Blonde" hair which I often have colour treated so I change from BlueMalva to others in the range reguarly. I usually switch between BlueMalva/ Chamomile/ and Shampure depending on my hair colour and condition. I also use Hair Detoxifier two or three times a week before washing with my chosen shampoo.
I also have a very sensitive scalp and have to be careful about what I use on my hair. Aveda products are all formulated from organic natural plant ingredients and extracts. They do not contain mineral oils (derived from petro chemicals) found in most shampoos. None of the products contain polymers either, which are also in many cosmetic shampoos ( these coat your hair in "plastic" to make it feel smoother and softer) I have found many regular shampoos let alone...
