I have had a bottle of brylcreem and I have been using this product for ages now, and in general I think that it is pretty good, it services pretty well as a hair product goes and the one bottle I have has lasted for a long time now although I think it is time I replaced it.

A bit of an odd topic, I am aware but most hair gells have a horrible chemical smell and effort has been made to make it smell nice; and after a while hair gel tends to rot and it loses its effect, this is when most gels tend to smell bad and this can become a bit of a social killer especially if you start to get intermit and your hair starts to smell ...

The brilliant range of Aveda is mainly for textured hair, I believe. I have wavy hair and I use the shampoo, conditioner and retexturing gel. The 3 products used together produces more curls, rather than just waves. I use it everytime I have a night out, and also the night before I go on holiday, if I do not wish to wash it too quickly into the holiday. The combination keeps the style much longer than other shampoos. As it's name suggests, it's 'brilliant'. Especially for long haul flights, when everybody's hair looks like a nightmare as they get off the plane.
The retexturing gel is what it says 'a gel'. Although you know you have a styling product in your hair, it's not sticky, and will brush out, without any residue left, immediately.
