Advantages: brightens and smooths skin, non abrasive Disadvantages: none for me
...Having used the purifying gel cleanser by Aveda which I must say has totally freed my skin of oiliness and breakouts, my trust in this brand has strengthened. The exfoliant was always a product I simply glanced over when visiting an Aveda counter because for a start, its a liquid! That couldn't possibly do the job of removing dead skin cells, I thought. However, the advantage with Aveda is that they do small travel sizes of most of their products, so I was able to try a small 50ml size for £8 as apposed to the full size for £18. This way, if the product was a disappointment, at least I could sleep at night knowing I hadn't wasted too much money!
I always associate exfoliators as those grainy scrubs that you use once or twice a week but this you use every evening after cleansing, so in some respect I guess this product could replace...

Advantages: Great colour extending shampoo, helpful for making colour "grab" prior to salon visits! Disadvantages: None really, but quite expensive

It doesn't foam brilliantly (but that could be the local water), and isn't a "cleansing" shampoo, more of a cosmetic product. Nevertheless, it does extend colour.

Either do the "vaseline round the hairline" thing, and treat it like a colour, or be prepared to scrub at your skin afterwards! Also, I have found that this makes my scalp quite itchy if I don't rinse it well. The texture of the conditioner is like watercolour paint from a tube, and there is an odd, organic smell, which...

...At last! Something to rescue my fine and limp hair from a lifetime of being, well, utterley limp and lifeless. This volumising tonic is a miracle in a spray bottle - squirt a little on wet or dry hair, do something with your hair (blow dry, set, use tongs, whatever) or do absolutely nothing and suddenly you have, well, hair! (those with v. fine hair will know what I mean!). Plus it smells gorgeous. Plus it's actually good for your hair - no liquid plastics etc. Plus, being Aveda, it's not tested on animals, kind to the environment etc. The downside? Well it comes in a glass bottle, which I love but not everyone does; and being Aveda it's not cheap. Well worth it though...

I have been using this mousse for the last two months.
The thing that I love most about this mousse is that it is alcohol free. In my case that means that I do not have an allergic reaction when I use it.
Another great thing is that the bottle is... more
