Aveda products may be expensive but it's a fact that they do last longer- especially the shampoos. They're rich so you do not have to use as much. The range is extremely diverse so it's good to make sure the product you pick meets your needs. Aveda carries the Ayurvedic philosophy and promotes a lifestyle of wellbeing and harmony- I enjoy going to the stores and receiving complimentary stress reliefs.
I would definitely recommend the haircare, I have fine hair that I have had to dye regularly due to greys and so it loses its health. The aveda hair dye (salon only unfortunately) and shampoos have made a real difference to restoring its fullness and life. The range is unisex which most people do not realise and I've even managed to get my hubby hooked. My fav hair products are Shampure, Colour Conserve and the paddle brush. Another bonus is that if you like a particular shampoo/conditioner you can invest in a litre size which has a pump- I find they easily last 10months and you save around £10.
My skin routine is primarily Aveda and I would recommend the exfoliant and the tourmaline charged spf 15 to anyone. The ingredients list is high in herbal content which pleases me! It's good to just browse the internet and learn more about what the benefits of each herb is. I'm a big fan of their tinted moisturisers as I prefer light makeup. I also love their eyeshadows- the colours can be dressed up or down. The lipsticks are quite sheer and from experience I'd recommend using a lip liner underneath if you want the colour to hold.
A good book that I bought from Aveda was '10 ways to Body Wisdom', it explains the philosophy well. O and not to forget their yummy smelling candles! I love this range so I could pretty much go on forever......
Part Two Of Review....... So I did not realise this is under the cleansing cloth section. However I have an Aveda shammy, it attracts dirt- good for taking off masques and makeup. It is machine washable and I was advised it lasts for a year. It's a handy tool to have and is soft on the skin. Price wise I think it was around £10.
