Recommended for normal to dry skin, to protect, hydrate and energise skin, it's much lighter than I expected, almost like a thick lotion (so be careful opening the jar) but goes on feeling like a very rich cream. It's very easily absorbed and smells fabulous ... ...doesn't leave your face shiny. I have slightly sensitive skin, but with this I had no reaction - no reddening, tingling, stinging or hotness.
After using it for over a week, I can honestly say I've seen a real difference. My skin looks much brighter and radiant and the skin tone is evened out. I have a tendency to redness in winter and this has toned it right down. The texture has improved, and my skin looks much more plump and hydrated. ... more

The only downside - and it may have just been a coincidence - was I had a small outbreak of spots on my chin in the first couple of days but they cleared up quickly.
So what's in this wonder cream? I'm not sure if this is the full ingredient listing - seems a bit hard to believe it is - but the cream contains 11 natural anti-oxidants, Meadowfoam seed oil, Tourmaline, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E.
At around £30 a jar it is expensive, but I'll definitely be buying it, as for me it's worth every penny to find a cream that (a) doesn't irritate my skin and (b) actually works.
Advantages: Wonderful smell - fresh yet warm, smooth texture, makes skin glow. Disadvantages: It's not cheap, but worth it.
I have just tried Aveda Tourmaline Charged Hydrating Cream, courtesy of a shop assistant who gave me a sample while I was shopping for shampoo. In a matter of 3 days, using it morning and evening, it transformed my previously dull, greyish, and dry skin into something altogether different: My face feels smooth, my pores are a lot less visible, and the same goes for the stress wrinkles I had developed on my forehead and around my eyes. My skin looks ... ...advice: Ask for a sample and try it for a few days. The only disadvantage if you do like it: It is pricy like all Aveda products. I do like their philosophy though, and I'm afraid I will have to splash out and buy it once my samples are finished! ...

Formulations for all skin types (cream, gel and lotion), smoother skin that feels toned after a couple of applications, matching serum top-up for extra dry skin, one jar lasts for ages and smells fresh, clean and gorgeous.
Prohibitively expensive for a straight-up, non anti-ageing facial moisturiser. Lightly perfumed and non-hypoallergenic - unsuitable for sensitive skin. (*)
