INTRODUCTION
I was planning on breast feeding baby before he was born, although I never kept to it with my youngest child when he was born. I was determined to keep to it this time around. Although the only downside to that was my partner was unable to feed baby, so getting a breastpump was going to take away the downside and my partner is able to feed baby. ABOUT THE PUMP
The aventbreastpump is a manual pump that helps to express milk for bottle feeding, there is no discomfort in using the pump although if you do have tender breast then I wouldn?t advise using it. And although the pump is easy to use and is very quiet when using it, I wouldn?t consider to use it in public.

Having recently giving birth to my first child I had always decided to breast feed and knowing how society frowns upon doing this publically I knew that a breastpump would be the only solution.
At first I was a little reluctant to use this as it does look a little scary and to be honest I had no idea if I was doing it right but 3 weeks on I really do not think I do not think I could be with out it.
It is so easy to use and although you may think that it will take forever it is so effective at it's job it hardly takes me any time to express what I need for a day out or for my partner to take a night shift!
I found that is was quick to put together and there are no small parts which made my life alot eaiser.
Personally I found it really comfortable when using and in my opinion is the best manual breastpump on the market ...

I was very keen to breastfeed my daughter but had also read that by expressing your milk you could not only have a break from feeding - by getting your partner to give baby the bottle, but it was also a good way to stimulate milk flow and help with engorged breasts.
I decided to purchase this pump as I had heard that it was as effective as an electric expressing machine and I was not prepared to pay for an expensive machine nor did I want to hire one.
I thought the pump was great value for money and once you get the hang of it you can express very quickly. The downsides I have found are:
1) Some days it works some days it doesn't - you really need to ensure that you express first thing in the morning when your breasts are fullest - if they are not then this is when I have found it most difficult.
