Avent Triumph With Style Over Substance

Advantages: Looks good. Does what it says on the tin.
Disadvantages: Not practical. Missing too many essential features.

INTRODUCTION In the excited first flush of parenthood, you are bombarded by a large number of products which, on the face of it, look like a brilliant idea. These range from various slings and carriers, sterilising systems, infant seats, scientifically engineered bottles and various other essential looking paraphernalia. The difficulty is, without guidance, they all look good and its hard to discern what will be useful in the long run and what will otherwise gather dust. I have big boobs, a big bum, and a big belly - which can make shopping for clothes on the high street a little difficult , not just because of the low availability of plus sized clothes in some stores, but also the indignity of waddling out of a changing room in too-tight jeans to ask for a larger size . So, when I saw an advert for Fashion World telling me that their clothes went up to a size 32, I figured that this might be just the place to get some funky new kit to cover my size 22 body . The company are part of the J D Williams group, a large range of online/home shopping companies - and once you have an account with one, you can use that account to order from any of their websites - something I found pretty useful - more on that later . Avent Bottles

Advantages: Look like a bottle
Disadvantages: Can leak

In my opinion Avent bottles look like a bottle should and have excellent wear and tear value. I prefer the look of the Avent bottle compare to the tommie tippie (closer to nature) bottles as the tommie tippie teats look too natural and I am sure thats the point but I like a bottle to look like a bottle. The Avent bottle wash well in the dishwasher, however you might not want to wash them with plates or saucepans that have just cooked Bolognese or curry as they do stain the color of the teats and lids. They can leak from time to time, so make sure before you set off that you check it first otherwise you might end up with milk all over the place. These bottle also work really well with the Avent pump. Just screw on and go. The teats also come in different sizes for thicker liquids or hungrier babies. These are not cheap at around £4 ...
