Avent magic talc

As a new mum at my ante natal classes they tell you all sorts of information, do's and dont's. Talcum powder being one of the one to be extremely carefull with , because if a baby inhales any dust from the talc it can get on to their lungs, thiis being quite dangerous.

Anyway I used talcom powder with my newborn baby, and let me tell you, it does'nt matter how carefull you are its impossible not to have some dust floating around in the air.
And then I came accross avent magic talc, a lotion that drys into a powder to absorb any excess moisture, just as talc would.
So I thought I would give it a go, and yes it works, and it works well, why did nobody ever tell me about this stuff.

How do you use this stuff
Well you just apply this magic talc as you would any normal moisturiser, and it dries into a powder and there you have it job done, and there is no need to moisturise as well as magic talc has milk proteins in it which helps to soften the skin and sweet almond oil which helps soothe, moisturise and protect the skin.

What does it do
IT absorbs excess moisture and helps prevent against chapping.

Does it work
Well I have found this to be a great product and I swear by it, it works just as well as talcom powder but without the mess and its alot easier if you have a baby that wont stop wriggling.

What does it smell llike
Well it smells gorgeous, infact so nice you could eat it. The smell is off almond oil, hence the almond oil in it. It reminds me of summer. And no its not too strong and yes its the kind of smell you want your baby smelling of.

Whats the packaging like
Well its in a tall white bottle( pump action ) with a blue lid, and has the usual avent logo and says dust free magic talc

The guarantee on the bottle
Clinically proven - mild
Hypoallergenic
PH balanced
Is it true?
Well my daughter has very sensitive skin and we have had no problems with this product

Where can I buy it from
Well I have only seen this in boots but in Guernsey that is our only main chemist so you can probably buy it from all leading stores like super drug( we dont have anything except boots )and its priced quite reasonably, again I dont know the price in the mainland uk but I know I picked it up for around £4.50 for a 125ml bottle, and that is the only size I have come accross.

All in all I am very satisfied with htis product and would defineately reccomend it to anyone whos not keen on using talcom powder around young babies.

Hope this helps.

Jo

I got a sample sized bottle of this in an Avent package deal from Mothercare, but haven't used it yet, but seeing as our doctor has told us to stop using talcum powder (because it dries Amber's skin out) I might give this ago instead! Great Op! Kerpots x
