Advantages: Great photo quality. Disc printing. Doesn't need a computer.
Disadvantages: Large. Fixed print heads.

...to be a slight lack of detail in some areas of the photo. However, when printing a high resolution composition from computer on Canon’s Photo Paper Pro Super High Gloss, the quality is stunning with fantastic detail all over. It is the six separate inks which give the great photo quality and they can be replaced individually. While it is best to stick to original Epson inks, which are cheaper than most manufacturers, there are compatible ones for less. Just note that your warranty will be void if anything goes wrong with them. I have used compatible inks on an Epson R200 for years and they have been absolutely fine in terms of quality, though sometimes the printer struggled to recognise the cartridges. But when a full set of genuine inks is only £30 delivered from Play.com (T080740), I’ll be sticking with them. All the software installs easily... Read review
