Advantages: Printer can be sited out of the way anywhere in the house Disadvantages: Installation was tricky
My wife is pleased because our printer no longer cloggs up the dining room table. My son and I are pleased because we can share a printer and print from any room in the house.
I chose a Belkin wireless print server because I have a Belkin wireless broadband router and assumed that installation and compatibility issues would be avoided. As with other Belkin devices I have purchased, installation was tricky. The Quick Start guide was far from quick and I had to resort to reading the full manual (on the installation cd). Anyway I got it going although I remain unsure as to how exactly I managed it.
For the "home user" it all seems a little "techy" for comfort. I can print but, as with the installation, I can never be sure why it worked and there are times when turning everything off and on again seems to be the only solution. It ...
Advantages: Cost, Service, Accesibility (Internet access) Disadvantages: Location of server house (Stratford, London)
My clans server has been colocated with them for the last 3 years. Set up was straightforward, they supplied IP details and settings which I then preset before taking the server to their server house. They CAN set it up from scratch for you, but WILL charge to do so. I met one of their engineers there and within a few minutes the server was up and running.Since then in the 3 years its been with them, its 'downtime' has been restricted to 1 day, for which I received a week of credit. Reason for downtime was given as a DOS (denial of service) attack on the server house. We were credited with a weeks use for that.Others have offered service but none could match them in terms of connection, cost and availability.

Advantages: Reliable, powerful, robust Disadvantages: Im yet to find one. Maybe the hidden costs in addtional items.
While we have tinkered with vitualisation in the office, we now have a definitive path forward and needed a robust, reliable new server that had maximised uptime and ease of remote management.
Therefore we have opted for a DL380 G5 and we have not been disappointed!
Read on for more details of this great server and how it become such an important part of our setup.
LOOKS/SIZE.
The DL380 is really designed to slot into a server cabinet or rack and therefore comes in the standard 2U height configuration. It takes up minimal space in the rack while maximising the the performance.
Weight is extremely heavy. It takes 2 of you to pick it up and even install the rail mounting kit (sold separately) that you use to slide it into the rack. What I do like about the mounts on this server is it gives you the option to add 2 extra bolts ...
