Avon detangling comb

Advantages Removes knots easily
Disadvantages Colour tends to chip off
My hair is really wavy when wet and although I have fine hair there is lots of it which means it is really hard to try and tame and so when Avon had their hairbrushes on offer I decided to purchase this detangling comb to see if it would help. This comb retails for around £4 but as always with Avon they have sales every campaign on different products so I would wait until it is on sale as I picked mine up for around £2 which is reasonable for a comb.
The comb itself is very well made and sturdy it has a large handle so you can easily grip the comb while it runs through your hair and what makes it different to different combs is the space between the prongs. There is a large space between them meaning it runs through your hair a lot easier without needing to pull so much. I have rather long hair which means it tangles very easily and I find if I run this comb through my hair it is softer on my head without it pulling as much as usual combs or my brush and when it comes to straighten my hair with my paddle brush all the knots are removed and it makes it a much easier job.I find if I comb my hair before I get in the shower it makes it a lot easier when it comes to my hair once I have washed and conditioned my hair and for that reason I always comb my hair before and straight after I get out of the shower and it makes my hair more tameable. The comb is really sturdy and well made so there is no chance of it breaking and I find as the prongs of the comb do not move at all it means it works the knots out of my hair far easier as once it comes to a not is runs it way through it rather than being pushed away.
My eldest daughter has short hair but unfortunately she has my hair so it is wild and out of control. As this comb has a large head and covers a large area of hair at a time it allows me to comb her hair in half the time removing the knots gently and brings her hair under control a lot quicker than a brush and for this reason she loves it too.My only downside is that the colouring tends to come off the comb really easily and I have found this to be the case with the entire Avon brush range the red comes away leaving the black underneath which can look really messy and as if the product is years old rather than months. This is not too bad as I only tend to use this comb in the house but it is a little annoying.
The comb is a little large to fit in my hand bag but I only carry a little bag if you have a larger shoulder bag it would fit in without any problems and be good for on the go although I prefer to take my pop up brush as it has a mirror on it.We have had this comb for over a year now and it receives daily use from both me and my daughter it has lasted very well although some of the colouring has come away from it that does not stop it from working. I would recommend this comb to anyone with hair that knots easily it really does help remove them with very little fuss at all and both my daughter and I love it.
