The first ... ...easy - but WHY did Avon not tell us about it?? Lol
I put a little bit on my lips and it went on smoothly enough and after a minute I did feel a tingling sensation, but nothing to worry about and it faded pretty quick. I then tried the other end, pushing the middle ring to the other side and then twisting and out pops this cream. I applied it to the outside of my mouth and it was quickly absorbed and doesn't leave a greasy or oily residue ... more
Anew Clinical Pump and smooth.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the simple grey and white box was a large felt tip pen type utensil. It has two ends, one in grey for the lip area and this has a little symbol of the lips to distinguish between the two ends. The other end is in white for the outer lips, which has a little symbol of the outer area of the lips.
It comes with instructions and my first gripe here is that the writing on them is grey on white and is so small I had to get a magnifying glass to read them!
I duly read through and they say to put the grey end on the lips every morning and evening, applying directly on to the lips avoiding the outer lip area. It warns that some people may experience a slight tingling sensation. For best results allow the serum to absorb before applying any lip colour (if it's the morning I assume - you'd hardly be applying it if you're going to bed!!) lol On the outer lips (white end) it advises to put on morning and evenings again this time avoiding the lip area!
Right, so now I came to trying it….. I took off the small lid at one end to reveal a small hole. I then twisted it, turned it, nothing happened!! I pushed on it, tugged on it, still nothing! Am I stupid or something? I turn to Mike.. 'Can you help me figure out how to get this stuff to come out, please babe'? So he spends the next five minutes twisting, turning, pulling and tugging on it… with no joy!
In my hands once again, I go through the same procedure and have a re-read of instructions, box and side of pen, to see if it indicates anywhere of how to get the flaming thing to work - nothing!! I throw it down in disgust and tell Mike I'll have another go in the morning, as it's getting late. To which he says 'What does it do, why do you need stuff like that anyway, your lips are fine as they are'? Ahh bless him.
So I gave him lots of little kisses and explained how much cheaper it was to use this rather than him pay out for botox for me!! Then explained how much nicer my lips will feel if they are more plumper and softer, to which his mind wandered off as he pondered the likely effects on Him, if I transferred some of it to his lips! We ended up giggling about how he'd look like that Pete Burns from Big Brother fame! He He!!
Next morning, nicely rested and calmer I try again to solve the mystery. I notice there is a little white ring around the middle of the two separate halves with little arrows pointing towards it!! So I try pushing it and hey presto! It moves, and then as I give a twist, miraculously a little of the serum pops out of the top!!! So simple and easy - but WHY did Avon not tell us about it?? Lol

I have been applying the serum for a few weeks now and my lips are nice and soft and they do look more rounded and plumper - not too noticeable - Mike didn't notice any difference, but then he's a man!! Lol
It states on the instruction leaflet that the 'plump' portion (on the lips) has Injecta-Fill Technology and helps lips look and feel fuller and volumised while restoring a natural colour to the lips.
The 'Smooth' portion (for around the lips) with Surfa-Smooth Technology helps visably blur fine lines and wrinkles around the lips and helps prevent the bleeding of any lipstick.
It claims that on instant application it increases lip softness by up to 102%, makes lip contures look more defined and diminishes the appearence of fine lines around the lips.
It states that after 2 weeks use on the lips of a group of Panellists in a clinical study: 94% showed an improvement in fine wrinkling 69% showed an improvement in overall appearance.
After 2 weeks around the lips: 75% showed an improvement in fine wrinkling 66% showed an improvement in overall appearance.
After 8 weeks of use on the lips: 100% showed an improvement in fine wrinkling 70% showed an improvement in plumping.
Around the lips: 61% showed an improvement in coarse wrinkling 91% showed an improvement in overall appearance.
It is Dermatologist tested Allergy Tested Hypo-allergenic and suitable for sensitive skin.
It warns to AVOID contact with eyes. Not to use on cracked or damaged skin.
It is easy to use (when you know how!) and goes on smoothly and I feel there is a definite improvement to the fullness of my lips and although I only had fine lines around my lips they also have disappeared!
I expect the men out there could use this too to improve their lips and I think it will be a help now that winter is upon us to protect the lips from cracking or drying.
Advantages: Actually does plump and smooth the lips, quickly absorbed, delivered to your door for free Disadvantages: Instructions far too small to read easily,
...to visit armed with the Avon booklet. Now I haven't always been a fan of Avon. I always thought they tended to be a little expensive for what they are, but I do like their nail products and have often ordered these through Mom's Avon Lady. So there we sat at the kitchen table, coffee in hand and poured over the book. Mom said get this, this and this to start with they should be enough. The items I purchased were a from Avon's Anew "alternative to ... ...end your using (not that Avon see the need to tell you this in their leaflet). Once you have decided which end you want to use, you click the middle bit and then twist the barrel of the end you're going to use. This produces a small amount of the cream ready to apply to the lips. A small amount really does go a long way, so do be tempted to keep twisting the barrel to get more out, you really don't need it. Now I must admit that I really don't have ...

Advantages: smooths out lips, repairs the damage Disadvantages: some people might not like that it doesn't get fully absorbed
I bought AVON ANEW BEYOND COLOUR LIP CONDITIONER as a last resort to try and heal my dry lips. I really didn't expect it to be different than all the other ones I tried, especially considering I even bought £30 lip balms that are supposed to repair and smooth out lips. Well, Avon Anew Lip Conditioner only costs £8, but it's the only one that makes a real difference to my lips. It comes in a standard lipstick format, small and convenient. It adds ... ...absorbed, but most of it definitely penetrates the skin and moisturises deeper layers. I don't know whether it's the collagen or double retinol that makes such a difference to the other lip balms, but whatever it is, Avon have produced an affordable, efficient solution to dry, chapped lips! ...
