As it says this stuff is for after having been in the sun. Of course we're all supposed to put sun-tan lotion on (or preferably sun-block according to some). But hands up all those who have forgotten and come back in lovely and red and sore. Yes most of us have done it and regretted it. So while ideally you should have the before and after treatment, sometimes you need the after treatment because you forgot the before!
So, what do you do?
Pour some into your hands and spread liberally into all areas that have seen the sun. Even if it's not sore then put some on anyway. (BTW don't forget the back of the neck, as that too can get burnt especially if you have short hair.) As the sun dries your skin out, this is good for the moisturising properties even if you avoid getting burnt.
The Fragrance
It has quite a pleasant smell, while not being overpowering. It is rather similar to most other products like this. However if I had to describe it to you the only thing I can think of is that it reminds me of the Nair hair removal cream my mom always used to use, but much, much milder. And nicer.
Product
It contains Vitamin E and Aloe Vera and is cool and soothing when applied. The moisturising factor is great for those who spend a lot of time in the sun. It is slightly sticky, but does not have a greasy feel and is absorbed easily into the skin. Of course you may end up walking around with a shiny face, but that's the price to pay for enjoying the sun.
If you have a tan, this product will help it to keep longer. In my experience, if you get burnt, you may be able to turn that burn into a tan.
Bottom Line
I like this product because even if I do remember to use sun-tanlotion, I often feel the need for a little TLC for my skin after having spent a day in the sun, even in England. And if I have been burnt, the cooling effect of this lotion works like a charm. While the sting may not go completely. It goes a lot quicker that it would otherwise have done. And don't forget, even if you can't see the sun, you can still get burnt on an overcast day, so be careful and always try to remember to put sunscreen on.
Available from Avon for £4, this comes in a 500ml bottle, so it should last you a while.

Have used this in the past and it's pretty good although nowadays I tend to use Banana Boat Aloe Vera if I burn (which I don't very often and a general moisturising body lotion otherwise to prolong the tan. Jane x
