However they are usually included in a special offer, so look out for those. I purchased mine as part of a ‘two for £5’ deal, saving myself £3 and making the price much more reasonable.

A lack of inspiration on what to write an opinion about has led me into the bathroom. In the cupboard there, you will find my trusty purple plastic toiletries bag. In this bag, there are my tools for looking at my best – foundation, moisturiser, lipstick, eyeliner and so on.
But what happens at the end of a great night, when you just want to get to bed and really can’t be bothered to take off the remains of your make up? I’m sure every woman reading this has thought “It won’t matter, just this once” and woken up with a stained pillow and a less than attractive reflection.
So wanting an easy solution to this problem, I consulted my beauty ‘bible’ – the Avon brochure! I bought their Clean ‘n’ Go Cleansing and Makeup Remover Cloths. These cost £4 for twenty-five wipes, which works out to be 16p a wipe. However they are usually included in a special offer, so look out for those. I purchased mine as part of a ‘two for £5’ deal, saving myself £3 and making the price much more reasonable.
The wipes are not in a bulky box (like the Daily Facials), but in a nice slim peach-coloured rectangular package, which means you can fit them in your make up bag or handbag. They remind me of a pack of Pampers baby wipes, especially the refill pack. You pull the label upwards to take out the clothes, ensuring it is sealed securely afterwards. If you leave the flap open, the wipes will dry out, so take care not to do this.
Each cloth wipe is around 7.5” by 5” and is a creamy-white colour and damp to the touch. They have very little smell, but if you wipe your lipstick off, you will be left with a slight soapy taste.
They are ideal for freshening up and cooling your face down in the summer. They don’t remove as much dirt and grime as the Daily Facials, of course, so they would not be sufficient to thoroughly clean the face. I have also used them to wipe my armpits when I am feeling sticky and sweaty.
The main use of the wipes though is to remove make up and they do this very well. I have found that the majority of my make up comes off in just one wipe of the Clean ‘n’ Go cloths, with any more stubborn marks only taking another wipe or two. I have very sensitive eyes and am able to remove eyeliner with the cloths, without it causing irritation – although the eyeliner itself is liable to make my eyes water!
My eldest daughters also ‘borrow’ these cloths to remove their make up and have had no irritation or problems with them. In fact, that’s the reason why my first packet of these disappeared so quickly. I now hide my second pack and find they last a lot longer! Then again, I wear less make up than they do!
I hate wasting things and always try to get the most out of anything I buy, so I try not to waste any part of these cloths too. After I have used them on my face, I clean the computer screen or desk with them and they are great for that (better than Cif wipes!). If I’m in the bathroom, I will give the tiles a quick wipe down or the sink or the top of the toilet, before binning the wipe. Just make sure you do your face first!
The wipes contain camomile and aloe vera. They are dermatologically tested, ophthalmologist tested and hypo allergenic. They are also suitable for contact lens wearers.
You can also buy Skin-So-Soft Fresh and Clean Anti-Bacterial Wipes from Avon. These cost £3 for twenty-five wipes.
I would recommend the Clean ‘n’ Go wipes overall, but not without reservation. At full price, they are very expensive and seem little more than a decent baby wipe. With baby wipes being sold for around 50p-£1 for a cheap tub, these might be a cheaper alternative if you don’t have sensitive skin or eyes.
If cheaper baby wipes irritate you, you could use the old method of baby lotion and cotton wool balls, but this can be rather messy and is much less convenient than a compact packet of these wipes. Until I find a better version, I will be sticking with the Clean ‘n’ Go wipes to ensure I don’t wake up with last night’s mascara on my cheeks. I will also have a nice clean computer screen too!
Advantages: Cheap, simple and effective Disadvantages: No plastic tub supplied to store pouches in.
...companies in the market today, Avon is no exception. This company has called its product Clean and Go and they can be found in the solutions range of skin care products. It is coloured in a Sandy Orange, indicating that it is suitable for use on any skin type, male or female. Clean and Go are cleansing tissues, which contain Cucumber and Aloe Vera, allowing the user to remove the dirt and grime of the day from the neck, face and eyes. They are non-gender ... ...do this task effectively. The Avon Brochure's advertising states that the cleansing routine can be done "in less than a minute". From personal experience it takes longer, to remove the impurities found on the skin. The external packaging is simple. A cream plastic pouch with a re-sealable hole. It contains 25 impregnated moist white sheets. The white sheets allow the user to see how much dirt is being cleansed from the skin. There is a light perfume ...

Although Avon don't appear to say this product will replace all of those products, the front of the pack tells us it contains 'Cleansing and makeup remover cloths with chamomile and aloe vera for face, neck and eyes'. Furthermore, on the back of the pack on the mention of the soothing quality of chamomile (remember the old days when it was called camomile?), and the moisturising quality of my old friend Aloe Vera (see op) I thought it ... ...of my much, much cheaper Avon cloths.
On first use, for a refreshing grimebuster and pickmeup partway through the day (I live in London), I was pleasantly surprised by the fresh feel of the cloth on my skin and the fact that I didn't feel the need to slap a load of moisturiser on after using it.
I came home tonight after a night out with the girls and decided to put the cloths to the test by removing my makeup with one. I only had a little makeup ...

Advantages: quick and easy to use, hypo-allergenic, nice subtle fragrance Disadvantages: none
Avon Clean and Go cleansing and make-up removing cloths are an absolute must for holidays as they eliminate the need to pack various bottles of cleanser and toner. They leave your skin remarkably soft and you may even be able to get away without packing the moisturiser cream too. They are suitable for use on the face, neck and eye area and they contain the cleansing and soothing qualities of Chamomile and Aloe Vera.

However, this product is quite often on special offer in the brochures and they have been offered many times as buy one, get one free.
The cloths themselves are really quite substantial and do not rip at the first wipe. I suppose the best way to describe them is that they are very similar to the ...

Advantages: Handy pack-ideal for travelling Disadvantages: leaves face feeling sticky
I recently purchased a fairly new product by Avon, the cleansing wipes.. I'll try these I thought, it's got to be better than going through all the cleansing lotion and cotton wool routine! (They were also on special offer 1/2 price-even better- I think it was £2.00 for a 25 wipe pack)
I've had them about 2 weeks now and have used hardly any, as I have reverted to my usual routine. After using the wipe my face felt really sticky, and there was a ... ...could see the removed make up on the wipe, my face didn't feel really clean. I had hoped using the wipes would leave my face feeling more refreshed, especially in the warmer weather.
The other thing I was didn't like was the size of the wipes, they are quite large, I think if slightly smaller the pack could have contained more wipes, as a lot of the wipe wasn't used.
To give some positive points- the wipes are packaged well, in a re-sealable plastic ...
