I discovered this little gems totally by accident. A friend I work with became an Avon Rep as everyone in work loved Avon but our Rep stopped. So I suggested that one of us started it and Helen was the obvious choice as she loves her makeup etc. She is now merrily making a fortune out of the rest of us and my Hubby is trying to bribe Helen to stopselling the stuff!
Anyone who knows Avon will know that they are forever putting on special offers, but for those not familiar then I'll give a few tips. If you see something you like but it is full price then wait one or two brochures and it is bound to be on some sort of promotions. You rarely have to pay the full price, which is why it is probably priced as it is, which i feel is a little higher than similar products on the High Street.
One such offer was 5 products in the Clear Skin range for £5.00 and this is how I got to try this one. I'm forever buying things on special and then finding them months later at the bottom on my wardrobe!
** What do they look like? **
They are in a small white tub, as seen above which is approx 2 and 1/2 inches in diametre. They are only small and have like a waffle effect on the surface. They are only dinky but do not let the size deceive you.
** What are they for? **
Well they are not a cleansing wipe, they are not going to take your makeup off. They are more like cleanser for probem areas. I would use them specifically on the T zone. I find them very effective for when i have had a nasty spot and i would actually hold the pad against the spot for several seconds after cleansing the area. I find that when i do this last thing at night the spot will be significantly deminished by the morning. The waffily surface acts as almost an exfoliator and my skin feels thoroughly clean afterwards.
** Use **
When i open the tub to get one the smell is almost lemony, and smells fresh and clean. The instructions suggest using every day increasing to 2/3 times daily, but do suggest that if dryness or peeling occur to reduce to everyday or every other.
I find that although they are for sensitive skin that using them once a day is sufficient. I tend to use them intermitently when i break out in a spot rather than as a daily cleanser as they are strong. And i feel that using them when a spot appears is how they work for me. As I have said if i use it in the evening then by the morning i see a difference.
** Any disadvantages? **
I find that if i over use they do dry my skin a little which is why I feel it is best to find your own level with these types of products. Saying this, I will not stop using them, i will just restrict the use.
** Where can you find them? **
Through your avon rep or on the website. I hope that they are not hoping to phase out the reps now that they have the website because this is one of the nicest things about getting Avon. Helen arrives in every third wednesday with a lovely bag of goodies for us!
** Cost **
The standard cost is £4.00 and you get 65 pads in a little pot, so if you use one a day then that means £4.00 for two months use.
As i said previously there are always offer and at the time of writing this the Clearskin range is on buy one get one free, so you could get two for £4.00 at the moment, which is a bargain!
*** My Opinion ***
No two people are going to have the same skin and what works on one is like poison to another! But I feel that this are amazing. They are great for times when my skin is a problem. I've always had to battle with my skin because although it was never really bad, it has never been really good either. And even though i'll be 35 (yes, I know) soon I still get some spots.
It is the same for most of us, a battle against the evil of spots or lines or dry skin, there is always something.
Advantages: Small and easy to use, great value for money. Spots literally vanish Disadvantages: Only avaliable from the avon catalogue
...frequently orders things from the avon catalogue so i decided why not start to do so too, and i stumbled across this little diamonds in the ruff of all of the crap in that catalogue (excuse my language). I am still using these twice a day a year on and believe me i'm as straight as an arrow, as u may guess from my pic, i also love football (not that that has anything to do with this product of course), to all my male counter-parts, trust me on this ... ...only be purchased from the avon catalogue and if you do not have a rep i in your area the catalogue is very hard to come by. However you can order off the internet from their website or on 0845 345 8444, or Avon cosmetics Ltd, Earlstrees Road, Corby, Northants, NN17 4AZ.
These beauties are priced at 4pounds for approximately 65 pads in the small pot you see in the picture, however avon are forever doing offers on their products so you may be able ...

Advantages: Last for ages, great for when you've been on a night out Disadvantages: Can't buy them from a shop
...day I stumbled across some Avon Clearskin sensitive cleansing pads in my trusty Avon book. They were on offer at the time so I thought well I'll give them a go....nothing could be as bad as the many cleansing cloths I'd tried!
They come in a small round pot, as in the picture above. Have you all come across the cotton wool type pads that are circular and thin?Well they look like those, but soaked up with cleanser. My first thought was that they ... ...for £5 offer in my Avon book..for that you get 65 pads (in comparison to most facial cloths were you only get 25 that is fantastic value!) In book 16 (the current one) they are £2 in a half price offer. But in the up and coming Avon book they are in a buy one get one free range, priced at £4. I had a look on www.avonshop.co.uk, on there they are £4 with a free lip gloss, but they don't seem to show you the colour of the lip gloss which seems a bit ...

Advantages: Quick, Convenient and comes in a small tub Disadvantages: You have to order this product from an Avon catalogue
...£3.00-£4.00
I find that Avon skincare is great value for money. All there range tackles the toughest of blemishes and manages to get rid of them. This product in particular is great at removing dirt and oil trapped in the pores of your skin leaving you feeling refreshed after using them. The pads come in a small tub suitable for taking on holiday with you because they are quick and convenient to use. The best thing I found was that they actually ... ...you wanted to get rid of spots I would advise using the Avon Invisible Blemish Stick as this can be used over make-up and is good at getting rid of nasty spots.
Overall, this is a great buy. The pads are a quick way to blemish free, clear skin! ...

Advantages: They clear up your skin fast! So convenient Disadvantages: Only available from avon, of course.
I've always been a fan of Avon's Clearskin range as the difference these products make to your skin is unbelievable. This also adds a boost to confidence levels! They can be quite expensive at times but there are usually offers available which cut the price quite dramatically. I started off with the Clearskin facial wipes and couldn't believe how much of a difference they were making to my oily, spotty skin. Within a week, all trace of spots had ... ...much confidence as I've always been a bit paranoid about my skin. After seeing the results of these wipes, i decided to try out more of the range and noticed these little pads for sensitive skin! How convenient. I've always been a bit hesitant to try out pads like this as i find they are extremely harsh on your skin and always make it feel really dry but i must say these are incredible. After using them for a week, along with the wipes, washing with ...
