IAnew Two-Step Clinical Facial Peel. They claim that it is "the easiest way to a fresh, new complexion". This is exactly what I need to boost my skin and was the reason why I brought it. This product is targeted at women over the age of thirty to remove signs of ageing but I am 24 and I am using it as it has Gylcolic acid which is supposed to be the best thing for acne and blocked pores.
I was unsure at first, as you are quite literatly using a type acid on your skin! Most beauty clinics offer a chemical peel service for facial skin and I have looked into them and found them to be far too expensive, so Avon’s home kit at £15.00 for 30 applications, which can be brought on their web site www.avonshop.co.uk was defiantly worth a shot.
So, how do you use it?
I normally don’t bother reading instructions on how to use beauty products, but with this one I did as using acid, I didn’t want to damage my skin. After reading the simple instructions I felt more confident about applying the product.
The product is split up into two steps.
Step One - the Glycolic Phase. The first step contains all the chemical peel ingredients along with glycolic acid to unblock your pores and will strip the dead skin cells away revealing the healthier skin underneath. The tub contains 30 white round pads. Simply take one pad from the step one tub and, using the textured side of the pad, sweep on to cleansed skin and leave for 5 – 10 minutes. My skin felt a little bit tingly but it wasn’t uncomfortable or painful. Once 5-10 minutes have come to an end, time to go on to step two.
Step Two - the Neutraliser Remove a pad from the step two pad and sweep the smooth side of the pad over the part of your face where the step one pad was swept over. This step neutralises the acid from step one. This step doesn’t give my skin a tingling sensation like the first step, it’s more of a soothing feeling.
I have found that after several uses of the chemical peel, my skin is starting to improve significantly. I use the treatment of a night time and in the morning my skin feels tight, but not dry or in a sore way, but feels more firm and my skin is noticeably smoother. After several uses, I have found now that the peel is peeling the old dead skin away and is also helping with my acne scars look much better and they are now fading. My skin is looking healthier and I have noticed that I am not getting as many spots now as my pores aren’t blocked up causing blackheads (ergh!) I do however eat lots of fresh fruit and veg each day and drink plenty of water which also boosts your skin and keeps it looking fresh and clean.
It does state that you shouldn’t use this product every day and does say to use every other day and I have found, by using it every day it does give you great results and at a low price too. On the instructions it says also not to use any moisturising cream afterwards as this would have an impact on the treatment and would cause it to not work as well. If you have sensitive skin, it’s probably best not to use this product as it would be too harsh and may cause discomfort. With regular use of this chemical peel, it will give you fantastic results but will also make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so they recommend using a sun screen with you go outside, which I do anyway as he sun damages your skin.
So there you have it, if you are in need of a deep cleansing treatment for your spot prone or congested skin, I would recommend using this product. Its £15.00 for 30 days, so if you use it every other day one box will last you two months.
