I find them good value, application is good and generally a longer wear nail varnish. However over the last couple of...

I have always though that a french manicure looks lovely and classy however I begrudge visiting a salon and paying their prices so in the past, I have always purchased stick on false nails. While this is great for special occasions, it was leaving my nails in quite a mess and when I added it up...

quite easy to use and creates a nice look

thin varnish, rubbish stickers

One of the gifts that my sister bought me for Christmas last year was the Avon nail expert’s French manicure set. I often paint my nails in this way and so she knew it would be a gift that I would appreciate. The nail expert’s French manicure set came presented in a small thin cardboard box which...

“An unprofessional manicure”

published 14/05/2002

a cheap way to get a manicure

doesn't look very professional

I have always fancied manicured nails, and being too tight to pay anyone to do this for me I decided to buy Avon’s French manicure set for 3.50GBP (normally 5.00GBP). I think I was expecting great results and maybe I had my hopes too high, but I really wasn’t impressed with the...

don't look to bad and really easy to do

the stick on nail guide arn't so sticky

Ok I know that most ladies like to have their nails looking great and always find themselves paying out £20-40 for a professional nail manicure. I have had my nails done a couple of times and thought that they looked great. However to pay out that much when you can easily do them yourself seems a...

cheaper than a professional

finished quality is poor at best and very fiddly.

I have recently stopped biting my nails and started growing them. So with my nice new nails I have been willing to spend decent money on some different nail varnishes for them. I saw the French Manicure set on the Avon website and thought I would give it a try as I do like the look of a French...

I have nice nails any way so don't have the need for fake nails. I often buy French Manicure sets as i love the natural but better looking end result. I bought the Avon Nail Experts French Manicure Set with the highest hopes, as have liked alot of their other nail polishes. When you buy this...

.... "However, whereas the beige top coat went on and gave the maincure a natural finish, the lilac completely covered the nail in a thick not so natural enamel leaving your nails looking slightly streaked and looking like you are wearing lilac nail varnish. At first I though I had just been over excited and put too much on, however, I persevered for more than 45 minutes, applying, removing and re-applying the manicure." I totally agree with this! I was so disappointed and wanted to sell it on immedaitely or return it! Still not decided what to do! (I have Lilac).
