As you may have gathered by now, from reading my other opinions, I am a fan of Avon products. When I was a child I remember hearing that they tested their products on animals, but today it is a different story. The advertising states that they do not test their cosmetics on animals, so in theory they should be safe to be used by vegetarians. I have queried certain ingredients such as urea in the Soft Musk range and was told that it was synthetically produced. This was from the labs in Corby.
I am digressing from the product in question, Avon Hydrofirming Lotion. I use this at night to pamper my skin and protect it whilst I sleep. It seems to be one of the most receptive night moisture creams on the market today, but how does it work. The information supplied with this lotion states that it "increases skin's moisture levels by over 170% and retain a 100% boost even after eight hours". I do not really know if this is true but I do find that on the nights I (remember) to use it, my skin feels soft when waking in the morning. Gone are the dry patches, which plagued my cheeks the day before.
The intensive Hydofirming Night Lotion provides a moisture boost for the skin. It is easy to apply even when half asleep and is easily absorbed into the skin. I have not found any greasy patches on my pillow. The white lotion has a light, pleasant perfume is suitable for oily skin, whilst the thicker white cream is designed for normal to dry skin (Hydrofirming Night Cream). The night range costs £8.00 for a 50mls container. But do not worry, your skin can benefit too, during the day due to the Hydrofirming Day Cream or Lotion. Avon has made this cream, containing SPF 15, so that the skin can have a hydra boost during the day. This day range costs only £7.00 for a 50mls jar. Great value for money!
The eyes to are not forgotten in this range. A 15mls jar of Hydrofirming Eye Cream cost £6.50. Personally, I prefer to use the Avon Lighten-Up Eye Cream as I find the Hydrofirming Eye Cream a little too heavy for my eyes. The cream leaves my eyes feeling greasy instead of giving them the "intensive moisture boost" as stated in the brochure. I returned it to my rep and he gave me a full refund.
This opinion has been written from a woman's experience and so I am unaware how well the Hydrofirming Range works on men’s skin. I would love to know if any males have tried it.
Advantages: unisex packaging, suitable for women and men Disadvantages: is a little greasy if you apply too much
...skin, i decided to try Avon Hydrofirming Lotion. Not for the apparent quality of the cream but for the fact that it was delivered right to the door and being a mum of two shopping for day creams is the last thing on my shopping list. Once youve applied the cream you can immediately feel the difference and my skin was looking better. I wouldnt say that it is the miracle cream and that you look years younger, but you can feel the difference and a little ...

We all at some point start worrying about our skin going from firm to saggy and dont want that to happen. Well this product could put a stop to that. It works with your muscles to in a way exercise them and to restore firmness back where it should be.The best time to use this product is at night where it can work while you are sleeping. There is no problem with you using it in the day either as it absorbs easily so there will be no greasy residue ... ...really want to see results you could apply at both times. It should be remembered that this is quite expensive so that may decide for you when you use it. However expense aside if you want results this does work towards giving you firmer skin, not only that it softens and moistens your skin at the same time. ...

firm face Review ofAvon Hydrofirming Lotionby
ALIMK21
I've tried a lot of face cream's as i get dry skin on my face and a lot of creams bring me up in rashes as i have very sensitive skin but avons' hydrofiming lotion has got to be the best by far as i have only been using it for a few week's and i can see and feel the difference in my skin's firmness and clarity and the good news is that apart from moisturing and firming your face this product also protects your skin from the harmful effects of the ...

Advantages: Disadvantages:
...was on promotion within the Avon book. I think it cost about 4.99 but I think that it was well worth it. It is a very light lotion not heavy at all like some other creams and it quickly absorbes into your skin, leaving it very soft but slightly tighter. The best time to use this lotion is just before you go to bed to give it time to absorb into your face and neck and it should work through the night, slowly tighning your skin. It hasnt make a drastic ...

Advantages: Cleans well, contains calamine, pretty pink colour, good for problem skin Disadvantages: Has caused my eyes to water, can get a bit soggy, not a great smell
...chamomile, lavender oil and tea tree oil – all of which I know are soothing, relaxing, calming – but I wouldn’t say you can smell any of these particularly.
I wash my face either in the shower or just at the sink. I wet my face first then either rub the Fresh Farmacy bar directly onto my face and lather or I lather it in my hands, then apply it using my fingertips. Either way seems just as effective.
It feels cooling on the skin and doesn’t take long to clean your face. I rinse it off, then usually apply a moisturising lotion such as Nivea Soft Intensive Moisturising Crème or AvonHydro-firming Day Cream. My face does go slightly pink around the cheeks, but not for long and the results are worth it – clean skin, without blotches, flaking or spots.
However, occasionally it has made my eyes sting and water. I...

Advantages: Does firm up the skin and boost moisture levels Disadvantages: Would prefer a larger size jar
...I nerver used to be a fan of avon but after using both tha avonHydrofirming Cream and the lotion I was impressed, personally I prefer the night cream rather than the lotion it is thicker and doesnt seem to disappear without a trace, I prefer a cream I can feel on my skin . Having dry generally dehdrated skin which never flakes or actually looks dry. This cream always seems to boost the moisture levels, while making my skin look firm and much softer, it also seems to give a sort of nice puffiness, (quite hard to describe) particuarly thin areas of the skin.
I am actually not allergic or sensitive to this product but I do find it doesnt smell natural if you know what I mean, I am a big fan of more natural based products , ingredients and I prefer them to smell that way....

Advantages: Long lasting moisturisation, price Disadvantages: Some might prefer it to sink in faster
...because I’m too lazy and partly because I don’t feel my skin is always dry enough to warrant it. Your skin changes throughout the month and when my skin is dry or stressed I find this stuff works wonders. Maybe I should use it every day, prevention over cure and all that. When I do use it though, my skin feels firmer after only a couple of days so I think the long term advantages would be great. I also think my skin tone is more even and balanced.
Through my teens I had combination skin with a forehead that you could fry an egg on. (Lovely image!) Now I’ve reached the dizzy heights of 25 my skin is significantly dryer. Generally speaking moisturising creams are for dryer skin and lotions are for oilier skin. Avon, being Avon, offer both a lotion and a cream in the Hydrofirming Night treatment. The cream is much more popular and to...
