I have to give this my full recommendation as two lives have been made so much easier by it. So if your girls suffer the same problems, this is definitely the solution.
What is the difference between having boys and girls? Well, there are many but perhaps the most frustrating of them all is the difference in styling their hair. I will be speaking personally here when discussing these problems and specifically about the difficulty I have encountered.
First of all I will speak about my ten year old son. He has always wanted his hair cropped which made things very easy in the hair grooming department. Not only was his hair tangle free, it was so short you couldn't even manage to get a comb through it. Bliss - quick shower, rub it up with a towel and that was it.
Then came my daughter, who is now three - fine hair, which she is growing long. A whole different ball game. Out of the shower, towel dry and she is left looking like the wicked witch. As I try to comb it through it appears it is going to come out by the roots it is so tuggy. After about half an hour of trying to style and after much screaming and tears we are finished - until tomorrow morning.
So, I searched for something that would abolish the tugs and make both our lives a lot happier. Bring on the Kids Detangling Spray from Avon. I actually bought it on a whim, inwardly thinking, I bet it doesn't work - but anything was worth a try. It costs £2.50 for a 200ml bottle but as with most Avon products, keep an eye out for special deals e.g. two for £3 of three for £4 as this does in fact happen quite a lot.
It is situated in the brochure among the Kids range of hair care, bath and body products which include different fragrances of shampoos, conditioners, body paints, gellie washes, bubble baths and body lotions. They are all in child friendly packaging depicting happy, friendly, cartoon-like faces. They are all brightly coloured and hold a definite appeal to kids.
The detangling spray comes in a bright salmon pink plastic bottle with big eyes and a smiling mouth depicted on the front. The brand name "Kids" is also shown on the front in green and below the product name there are two green cartoon-type feet with the fragrance written in one of them. In this case the fragrance is watermelon and kiwi. The bottle has a yellow spray top which has a clear plastic cover over the top (obviously to stop it being sprayed accidentally). You are also advised that it is suitable for all hair types.
When you remove the plastic cover and smell the bottle you are met with an overpowering, sickly, fruity smell and my first impression was, there is no way I would put this in my daughter's hair. Desperate measures, however, so on we went.
I washed and towel dried her hair as normal and sprayed it on. I will advise at this stage that if you are used to leaving hair to dry naturally it will take forever with this spray on it. If I use it prior to going out I have to dry her hair with a hairdryer and even that takes a lot longer. This is possibly because it does not fully absorb into the hair. I digress, however. After I have sprayed on the product I go and get a comb and hey presto, it works. The comb glides through her hair without a tangle in sight. I am amazed and so is she. Although the product says it is a no tears formula I thought this was referring to getting it in the eyes but there are no tears with styling either. No longer does Sarah dread getting her hair combed -it is no longer a dreaded task.
As for the smell it is not nearly so overpowering once it has been sprayed on the hair and does in fact leave a very pleasant, fresh, clean, fruity smell which lingers until the next day. Sarah now loves the smell of her hair and everywhere we go she asks people to have a smell. I'm not quite sure if I would associate it with kiwi as I have never actually concentrated on the smell of this fruit but it is indeed fruity and the watermelon aroma is apparent.
I have mentioned that the hair is left manageable and tangle free but it is also very shiny if you have applied just the right amount of spray. It is also very gentle and does not break up the haie. If, however, you apply too much you can be left with a greasy appearance, which does not look very attractive.
Do not worry if you don't have an Avon rep in your area as you can purchase Avon products online on www.avon.uk.com. The site is self explanatory.

Advantages: Mild and gentle Disadvantages: confusing smell
...but none so good as Avon Kids Super Gentle Soft Styling Gel!!
I am now 33 years old and my hair is (although I will not admit it in public!) thinning quite rapidly. I refuse to have a parting at just above ear level and would never consider wearing a syrup, (no offence to anyone who does!)
Many of the styling gels that are available on the market contain a cocktail of various chemicals, which after just a few hours use make my sensitive head itch ... ...rather cool looking bottle of Avon Kids 'Super Gentle Soft Styling Gel'.
I sniffed the contents eagerly (who doesn't?) and checked the label.
Now perhaps it was too early in the morning and I wasn't quite awake but
despite the fact that the label read as 'Creamy Orange', my nostrils sent messages to my brain to say that this fragrance was in fact coconut!
I happily squeezed the container allowing a large blob of, erm, coconutty orangey stuff ...

Advantages: no tangles Disadvantages: lots of rinsing required for the conditioner
...I introduced her to the Avon kids range, I was met with a much more favourable reaction. It went something along the lines of 'Mummy, that smells lovely'.
There are various products in the range – the ones we have tried are 2 in 1 Super Gentle Shampoo for thick, wavy hair and Super Gentle Conditioner.
Each bottle states – Goodbye Tears, Goodbye tangles! So, are the claims true?

Packaging.
Avon have recently re-packaged these products and there are now very child friendly. As well as the bright colours, each bottle ahs a smiling face on it. And, I have to say, they now look just like the L’Oreal kids range of hair products.
My Verdict
I am very happy with these products. The smells are quite strong, but in a nice way. They do not put me off using them like some smells do! They have left my daughters hair easier ...

2 in 1 Super Gentle Shampoo for Normal Hair

Heres a bit about avon first .........
I am a big fan of avon products you can buy them from there web site which is avon.uk.com.
Or you can buy them from a representative, which you normally find in your local area.
Avon sells all kinds of products including make up, perfume, jewellery, aftershave, lingerie, haircare, footcare, gifts, etc.
They also do a kidsrange called avonkids which includes shampoos, body wash, conditioner and a detangling spray.
The bottles are all in bright colours with avonkids in big letters on the bottle, and they have got smiley faces on them.
I am doing a review about the detangling spray today , as i had to write in and tell you what an excellent product i think it is.
I have two daughters and they both suffer badly with excema , and it is especially bad at times on their scalps.
