Women at the time of Cleopatra in Egypt seem to know a thing or two of beauty treatments. They used nature’s riches. They developed the skill of hair removal using sugar paste. Today this technique is known as ‘sugaring’. There is also the story of Cleopatra bathing in Asses milk to keep her skin soft and pure. Avon have developed a range of beauty products that allow the modern women to rediscover this ancient beauty secret, with the introduction of the ‘Milk and Honey’ products in the Avon Naturals Range.
Thirsty skin will drink in the rich goldness of honey and milk blend. The fragrance of these products is very pleasant. The aroma of honey is pleasant but not over powering. The milk acts as a moisturiser. Even sensitive skin will feel softer, smoother and more sensual. (Well, mine does following use, particularly from the facemask).
**Range**
The range consists of four products.
*Creamy Cleanser* This is a mild yet effective cleanser. It removes make-up as well as day today grime.
I find when I use this product that my skin does not sting or develop any dry patches after use. All in all it is an effective ‘Creamy Cleanser’.
Cost: £2.49 for 100mls tube
*Foam Bath*
This ‘Foam Bath’ produces copious amounts of bubbles when a cap-full is poured in running water. The gentle bubbles act as an excellent cleanser for the body’s skin.
The aroma in the bathroom is very pleasant when I use this foam bath.
Cost: £2.49 for 250mls bottle.
*Hydrating Mask*
This mask takes around fifteen minutes after application to work. The skin is left feeling soft and supple.
I find this extremely effective, alternating this mask with the Avon ‘Dramatic Smoother Facial Mask’. After using the ‘Hydrating Mask’ my skin feels extremely supple and smells ‘really nice’ (according to Shane!).
Cost: £2.49 for 100mls tube.
*Intensive Face Cream*
This is a thick face cream and the least effective product in the range.
I find this cream does not absorb well into my skin and at times will cause a rash. I did not use much before throwing the tube away! (I actually returned it to Avon for a full money back refund, which is part of the Avon ‘no quibbles guarantee’).
Cost: £3.49 for 100mls tube.
So within the ‘Milk and Honey’ products even sensitive skin can be cared for with little worry.
Advantages: Milk ingredient which hydrates and moisturises the skin. Would be excellent just for a treat for yourself, birthday present or Christmas present for friends, relations etc. Disadvantages: None that I can think of.
...I treated myself to in Avon just before Christmas. The other day I tried them all out and I have decided to write about them.
The Milk & Honey Range comes in a brown box with writing on saying what products are inside it, which are:-
250mls Foam Bath
100mls Creamy Cleanser
100mls Intensive Face Cream
A Bee Scrunch
The fragrance in the products is very pleasant, you can definitely smell the honey in it, but I suppose the milk fragrance wouldn't ... ...to use in the bath.
Well I must say this range was well worth it's money and the amount of each product you got was very pleasing. All of it for £5.99 in the Avon brochure
Well worth it ! ! ! ! ! ...

Advantages: Smells lovely, probably does contain good nutrients! Disadvantages: A bit heavy, doesn't let ur skin breath
...: "Milk Comfort Nourishing Night Cream"
(I don't think this product actually is in the NaturalsMilk and Honeyrange, it's Avons Solutions, but it's the closest category i could find)
AVAILABLE FROM: Avon, through your local avon rep if you have one, or by going to the website (www.avon.uk.com).
PACKAGING: Comes in a cute little small glass jar, containing 50ml of cream. I guess it stays nice and fresh like that.
PRICE: Like i said, a bit on the expensive side for me. The full price is £10, but it's usually on offer, for exapmle, i've seen it at £6.50, or once if you bought that you got something free, something like that.
Well, i'll let you make up your own mind, but i think i should just add, i don't know how it compares to other night creams cos i haven't used any others!...
