tea tree conditioner

Advantages: leaves hair soft and clean
Disadvantages: horrible green colour

...large gift bag full of avon tea tree products for my birthday, some of which I had already used and liked (The tea tree peel off mask is a long term favourite of mine, which I reviewed on Ciao a while ago).
I have used Avon shampoo’s and conditioners in the past, but not from the Naturals range, a range which I think is mainly aimed at the teenage market.

The instructions on the packaging are quite vague. All it says is ‘For best results leave on 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.’ No instructions on what to do if you get it in your eye, or whether it is suitable for a sensitive scalp (Although being tea ... more

A Buy-One-Get-One-Free 2-in-1 Kind Of Opinion

Advantages: works really well, leaves hair feeling brilliant
Disadvantages: stinks to high heaven!

Now, if you’re like me, you’ll love a bargain, right? A high quality product combined with a special offer is very tempting. Well, this is what I am hopefully giving you here. For the two pence I receive from you reading and rating this opinion, I will give you not one opinion, but two! That’s right, it’s a Buy One Get One Free opinion, a very special 2-in-1 offer that you just can’t miss! For the same price, you get an opinion on two of the products in the Avon Naturals range – the Tea Tree shampoo and matching conditioner. I bought these from the local Avon representative, as there was an offer on to buy three products in the range for only £5. (Besides the shampoo and conditioner, I also bought a grapefruit room spray.) Having four children who can bring home lots of little crawly friends ...

Death to the blood sucking fiends

Advantages: Nits hate tea tree! Nice fresh smell.
Disadvantages: Not a "tear-free" formula!

no end of upset and embarrassment. Chances are you will be scratching your head now just at the thought of them! I have tried all manner of supposed “nit-busting” products. Some work and some don’t. Some are harsh on kids’ scalps, some are too fiddly and time consuming and some work on live lice but not on the eggs or “nits”. A friend of mine told me about Tea Tree Oil. It is an amazing natural substance from Australia that has a remarkable list of properties. It is an astringent and an antiseptic. The oil is said to work miracles with spots on the skin and shampoos are excellent for greasy hair, sensitive scalps – and head lice hate it! I started washing my five-year-old’s hair in Avon’s Naturals Tea Tree Oil shampoo about three months ago. After shampooing, I also use ...

A Gunge Tank In A Tub

Advantages: Works well, effective packaging
Disadvantages: Stinks!

I love Avon and I can’t resist a bargain. Not surprisingly therefore, an offer for three products from the Avon Naturals range for a mere five of our gold coins (er, £5) proved too good to pass up. I am a regular user of the Tea Tree shampoo and conditioner in this range, so I bought a bottle of each of those (usually priced £2.50 each) and for my third item, I thought I’d try something different. This is how I came to buy the very catchily named Avon Naturals Aloe Face Cream with Wheat Germ. This usually sells for £3.50 per 100ml tub and although I would say it is probably worth it, I’m sure you’ll all agree it’s better to pay less if you can. It comes in a little round see-through plastic tub with a bright green lid. It is useful to see how much you have used, so you can order more from your Avon ...
