Perceive was first released by Avon in the late 1999, for women and has remained a popular fragrance ever since. Many women wear it simply because it is such a versatile perfume and also great value for money. Avon describes this perfume as ‘the feeling you get when sun warms your skin and love fills you heart’. It is a positive smell, providing an air of confidence. I love the fragrance and use it daily at present.
This perfume comes in an irregular shaped glass bottle with a clear plastic lid. The bottle of Perceive scent is applied to the skin via the spray. The shape may sound strange, but it does look nice on a dressing table or in the bathroom on a shelf. Why not take a look in the latest Avon catalogue for yourself?
**Cost**
It comes in two sizes; 30mls and 50mls bottles and they cost £10.00 and £13.00 respectively.
**Aroma**
The smell of Perceive is floral, yet also woody too. It has a slightly heavy aroma really. It is sensual, yet uplifting at the same time; providing the wearer with an air of calming, sophistication. It is ideal for women aged between twenty-five to mid forties, I think, but you need to judge for yourself. (A representative will happily supple you with a sample).
The top notes for this fragrance are yellow freesia, and cape gardenia, combined with Damascus plum and pink dianthus. The base notes, which linger on the skin all day, are vanilla orchid and sandalwood, hence the slightly heavy aroma.
To complete the overall effect, Avon has also produced a range of body products including a body spray, moisturising bath and shower gel, moisturising body mousse and perfumed talc. This range is price very reasonably starting from £2.00 - £3.00.
**Perceive Glittera** Now added to this perfume range is Perceive Glittera. This is the eau de parfum that contains soft shimmering highlights that leave a subtle glittering sheen on the skin.

**Perceive Precious Oil** This is a massage oil that can also be used in the bath as bath oil. It leaves the skin with a delicate fragrance of Perceive as well as leaving it soft and supple.

Now then, you men are not left out, for a change! Avon has also brought out the Perceive for Men range, in late 2000, due to the popularity of Perceive. The after-shave cost £10.00 for 100mls and there is also a body care range to complement the range, but that is another opinion!
If after reading this opinion, you want to try this product but are still not sure of the smell, ask your local Avon representative for a free sample. If you do buy it and then find that you really do not like the smell, bare in mind that Avon provide a full money back refund, even if you have already used the perfume. I really do not think you will want return it once you try Perceive. It is a lovely smell and great value for money as one application lasts all day.
