I use an Avon rep rather than buying on line so I waited a couple of weeks for it to be delivered. At last it arrived and I decided to give it a go the very same night.
The spray comes in a pump action, beige coloured plastic bottle. As with all Avon products it has not been tested on animals (and this is a real must for me).

It currently retails at £5 for 2 x 150ml bottles, as it’s on offer. The full price is usually £5. It is also available as a traditional lotion for those who prefer the more traditional tanning creams.
Ok, it’s the worst summer in living history, we all know that. But when you rely on just a little bit of sun to stop your legs looking like uncooked bread dough (as mine do), what on earth are you supposed to do? We know that the rain is here to stay at the moment, but I really am still trying to persuade myself that it is summer and am adamant that the summer skirts are going to get an airing this year. However the uncooked dough look is not good sticking out from underneath that nice linen skirt!
I have tried various tanning body lotions and they have all left me streaky, with legs the colour of a gone off orange, or they smell to high heaven. It was therefore with much trepidation that I decided to buy Avon’s Skin So Soft Satin Glow Airbrush Spray. The fact that it was on offer at £2.50 for a 150ml bottle softened the nerves slightly as for that price I don’t really care if I end up throwing it in the bin.

To use the spray is really simple. Just take off the small plastic lid to access the pump. Hold the spray a few inches away from the skin and then press. The product is then emitted in a fine mist over the skin. It is really easy to get a nice even distribution as the nozzle rotates in a full 360 degrees. As with most of these products I was expecting it to be rather smelly, but in fact it has a really faint non descript smell to it. There is no need to rub in, as the spray was so fine it soaked into my skin straight away. My skin also felt soft and fresh when I had finished.
But do my legs still look like an uncooked ciabatta? Well no they don’t. The colour is a nice pale golden one. Nothing at all like the Christmas Satsuma that was still left half way through January. There are no streaks at all and my bathroom doesn’t smell to high heaven of fake tan either. As this is also a spray, there is no need to wear glves when you apply it so I don’t have orange hands an nails. However I have found that I do need to apply every day to maintain the colour as it fades really quickly. The nozzle on the spray occasionally jams but unscrewing the cap and running it under the tap will easily remedy that. As with most pump action sprays, occasionally it has to be unscrewed to let a bit of air in so that it is easy to get the spray to come out. But these are only very minor downsides to Avon’s Skin So Soft Satin Glow Airbrush Spray.
For £2.50 I am really surprised. I can wear my skirts with pride and I will definitely be buying this product again. After all, the suns now completely disappeared…..
