Advantages You can work as much or as little as you like.
Disadvantages You have to pay for the brochures. ;-(
Myself and my boyfriend decided to do Avon to give us that little bit extra money for holidays, (actually I decided to do it on or behalf...he took a bit of persuading as he thought 'its for women that!').
It was really easy to become a rep. The team leader came round to our house, explained how it worked, left us our starter pack, and away we went! She followed it up by a return visit the following week which was really beneficial and helped us iron out any concerns or problems we had.The commission is good if you get over around £200 in orders, with you making 25%. You also get a mag as a rep called 'Hello Tomorrow' so you can buy demo items or keep them for yourself. They also have a sales section. As an Avon customer already, I love this mag and you get some real bargains.
You can work as much or as little as you want. We have asked for extra streets as we now have our 'regular' customers. We have also started doing a newsletter to try and boost sales and point out what we think are good buys.I would say give it a go, but dont expect it to be easy. The first campaign is hard work as you try and find your customers, but remember that Avon does tend to self itself. People who have tried it tend to carry on buying from it.
