The AXIS 5570e, with built-in IBM protocol converters, is equipped with one USB and one parallel port, which enable printing to two printers simultaneously. The AXIS 5570e is the first multi-session USB print server for the IBM environment. The AXIS 5570e provides support for all popular protocols and operating systems such as Windows, NetWare, Macintosh, UNIX and Linux, in addition to IBM host system printing over TCP/IP and SNA networks. The same printer can therefore be used for print jobs coming from the IBM host as well as Windows and other operating systems. The AXIS 5570e features an improved installation wizard for IBM printing, increased remote management security using TLS/SSL (HTTPS) and enhanced print management in AXIS ThinWizard 3.00. The AXIS 5570e provides a flexible, reliable and cost- effective network printing solution for IBM host environments. There is no need for application changes, host-based conversion software or intermediate servers. ...People that have read some of my reviews will remember my damning review of the Labtec Gaming Fx:1 headset and the experiences of this headset put me off buying another Labtec headset. Now you might be saying how can you do another review on a Labtec headset if you never got another one? Well the answer is I never got another one, my dad got me another one as a present :s. He didn't know all the trouble with the 1st Labtec headset but I decided to give this headset a go because it was quite a thoughtful gift and it looked like Labtec had learned their lesson with "comfortable behind the ear" style headset and made a normal headset.
I started using this headset with a bit of a closed mind but after the 1st couple of hours I was in love with it. The Axis 711 is a superb headset! Nothing like its "troublesome little brother" the Labtec...

I screwed up my courage and credit card and ordered the Axis 1400 package online on 10 October. Less than a week later I was showing off a review of my latest acquisition on the Evesham website when I noticed that there was a new top of the range machine available, and at a price not greatly dissimilar from the spec I had ordered. A panic phone call followed and with absolutely no fuss the salesman agreed to modify my order. I ended up with an 1800 processor for another £40.
The machine arrived without notice on 21 November in an assemblage of boxes of varying sizes and weights. Fortunately I was home at the time. The final price was £1,760 including VAT.
