Three years ago I switched healthinsurance, I went to Azivo in The Hague, Netherlands. I heard good things about them so I thought I had done the right thing. Soon, getting the insurance I paid for, became a problem. When I went to a doctor or dentist and I got billed, I had to pay him and ask for the money back from Azivo. That took months, that is, if they didn't forget about it all together. After years of backpain, headache's, pain in shoulders and arms, an upperleg that had no more fealing in it, and years of fysiotherapy, my specialist decided that it was best for me to have a breastreduction. The hospital told me it was the only sollution and my health insurance would pay for it. Well, they were wrong. Azivo preferred to pay for my medication, fysiotherapy, consulting numerous specialists and finally even a psychiatrist, instead of just doing the right thing. I spoke to the manager but they just wouldn't pay. The surgery I needed cost about 8000 guilders, the money they had spent on medication, specialists and fysiotherapy were about three times as high. I left Azivo and decided to pay for the surgery myself, when I finally was operated on two years later my new health insurance even paid me back. Since the operation I feel great, no more complaints whatsoever. In the mean time the stories I heard from people having to go trouhg the same with Azivo are numerous. I am not a person that is vindictive and a lot has to happen before I will tell people what they should or shouldn't do. But in this case I cannot be silent: if you need a good health insurance, please don't go to Azivo. They ruin peoples health and ruin their lives at the same time. I can't tell you wich insurance is a good one, I could say the insurance I have now but I know that I may have good experiences with them, there will be other people who don't. Just remember the one thing I am sure of, don't go to Azivo.
